Ate here twice. Once on the outdoor patio (too many smokers) and once inside. Visited on a Friday night and one older man was so drunk, we thought there might be a fight. Ate quickly and left. Had fish and chips (average) and a burger (better than the fish). Probably would not go there again, but have to credit the... More

The most appealing and very low quality pub I've seen so far. Ordered two salads and two drinks. Informed to be served in 30 minutes after I have paid of course.... Then served 1 hour and 5 minutes later. With asking twice our meals. Honest pass your way, those level of service should not exist

We had the traditional Sunday roast that was a bit blunt and badly served in the plate. The Fish & Chips was OK but again, nothing special. Prices were reasonable but you can find better food in other pubs close by.

The general manager boasts many years of service but publicly berates his staff and creates an atmosphere that makes us customers feel like we need to hurry or we're imposing. He has a temper and just doesn't seem like the best candidate to run a business where people go to enjoy warm community and relax.

First time I've been let down by researching trip advisor for local cuisine. The thought of a 'traditional pub with good food' should be replaced on their website with 'just like a weatherspoons but the food ain't as good'..... Which is the best description. Bar staff were friendly, locals were hammered in the main and the food was very very... More

Friendly. Noisy Saturday night but why not. Good food deals . New menu. Staff are continuously cleaning, and ensuring all is okay.

Worst bar staff ever . Serve friends first. Was waiting 15 mins for a drink. Got ignored probably could be a nice pub if staff was properly trained

Speedy service, good quality pub food at a sensible price! Walking distance from several well priced hotels. Give it a try if you are in the area!

The 2-for-1 desserts and 2 meals for 7.95 pounds (I think) are excellent value. The meat in the 'beef in ale' pie (can't remember the exact title) was a bit tough but the 'hand battered' (how else, by foot?) fish and chips, and the curry pie are excellent, so are the desserts. They also have a fair selection of real... More
