Not as good as venice

After having been to the real place in Venice there is no comparison so it's just a branded place without the fantastic feeling you get in st. marks square

My cousin and I went for a special treat before our visit to the Royal Albert Hall. What a disappontment! We opted for the Champagne Afternoon tea even though it was very expensive. The tea was served at the same time as the champagne. We were not asked which type of tea we preferred. By the time we had finished... More

This was such an escape for my friend who despises the hustle of a city when we visited London. I had some beautiful scones, I don't think I've had any so creamy and light ever since! The decors lovely, it's just so nice to get away from the crowds and I love London so much! There was an awfully rude... More

Caffe Florian is an oasis from the insanity inside Harrods. That being said, our reservation time came and we were promptly seated. However, our server informed us that he would not be able to serve us for at least twenty minutes. We ended up leaving and went to a nearby pub. Not at all the experience we were expecting....

We went to Caffe Florian today, for tea and a comfortable sit down. The entry was statted by the Maitre d' and his deputy, who were very kind and attentive even when we did not require (slightly late) lunch. Hook under the table to stow our bag, very comfortable arm chairs, we could have sat there all day and people... More

My husband and I had afternoon tea at the Florian and it was marvelous! The sandwiches were delicious and fresh, the scones were AMAZING, and the pastries were fabulous! One tea service is plenty for 2 to share :)

Bought two coffees and one orange juice totalling £17.50. Ok, this is Harrods and would expect, always, to pay over the odds but this was plain mean. The coffees were in really small cups and weren't even presented with a biscuit which is standard even in M&S. Shame because I adore the whole experience of Harrods.

This is the London home for the Venice based cafe. All their own teas, coffees and biscuit things. Nice tables and chairs, plenty of room and nice staff. Yep, relax and enjoy

We stopped here early one morning for a quick nibble and were the first ones in. We were told the full menu wouldn't be available until noon but that we could choose from the pastries that were listed . . . except when I tried to do that, they didn't have the one I wanted either, so I settled for... First you have to fight your way through Harrod's to even get here, and then you may end up waiting a long time to be served. It was hard to say who was responsible for our table, but it seemed a bit much to wait an eternity for someone to take our order, and then items came out piecemeal from... More

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
