Fun, good food.

Met up with old friends here on a Saturday lunchtime. Met up with old friends here on a Saturday lunchtime. They had booked, which was just as well (the main part of the restaurant was rammed) and I re-iterate a previous reviewer's point of requesting an upstairs table. Very buzzy place, classic italian, well cooked food, good service but not in your face, good value. Generous portion sizes. Couldn't eat... More

I have eaten at his restaurant three times now. It is absolutely fantastic. The food is varied and is made of fresh ingredients. The service is also excellent. I will be visiting Bar Remo again in the near future.

This place is obviously very popular with local workers and it's easy to see why. It was busy on a Monday lunchtime with people queuing for tables but that will be down to the reasonably priced and varied menu. My friend and I both had pasta dishes and the food was very fresh. The service was attentive without being overbearing.... More

First, some slight negatives. The service, while efficient, is disinterested, and the interiors are rather shabby. A tower of take-away pizza cartons in the corner of the upstairs part of the restaurant indicated a lack of care for the surroundings. But the food is very good. I thoroughly enjoyed the prawns in garlic and chilli and the veal milanese. The... More

Independent restaurant, a good selection of pasta, pizza, meat and fish dishes. This is a well staffed and friendly restaurant with an open kitchen so you can see the chefs cooking . Food was served promptly and you weren't rushed. Felt very authentic. I had a smoked salmon pasta dish, it was flavoursome and plentiful. There are no pre-theatre deals... More

a Saturday lunchtime stop over as this was the closest restuarant to our tube change over with a good TA rating. What a great choice we made. 9 members of staff working the shift, and every one of them clearly cared about thier customers and loved their jobs. Attentive service, lots of humour with the customers, and on leaving no... More

Our little family were heading towards Hamley's early evening, when, unplanned, we found this little Italian just off Mayfair. The staff were very accommodating, and sat my family of 3 (2 adults and a 2.5yr old) at a table of 4. The waiter made a fuss over our girl throughout our meal. Our food came out after a short wait... Fresh pasta, authentic dough with the right balance of crisp and softness and no holding out on ingredients. A family run restaurant which is still passionate about good food and customer satisfaction. One mistake in our order but fixed straight away and apology given. So no gripe. Good wine list, desserts, starters and mains at v.reasonable prices. Worth a visit... More

We were looking for somewhere suitable for a quick lunch so decided to stop at Bar Remo. We were very glad we did. The service was superb. There were lots of helpful Italian waiters. Alessio in particular was very nice and attentive. The food was good - we had two different plates of pasta and two pizzas. We are all... More

We wanted to eat quickly in a nice place and we were not disappointed. Nice staff speaking italian, fast service as we asked for and tasty food. Good prices too. We recommand that restaurant for sure.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
