Best value Italian food in London - 2-3 mins walk from Apple Store, Hamleys, Oxford Circus etc

Haven't found a better Italian in London. Menu is well varied, prices are good for the quality of food they serve up, & location is excellent. There's not a whole lot of space inside, but that helps add to the atmosphere. Well worth a visit - I suspect this place gets a lot of repeat-visits.

This gem of a restaurant and bar is tucked away and is absolutely the quintessential Italian family run restaurant. Slightly cramped and cosy it has a great atmosphere with attentive staff and lovely food. Service is swift and the food is really tasty. I had a carbonara which was beyond nice! Be sure to book for lunch.

This is a fabulous family run, friendly place to eat. You could be forgiven, with its great location, for thinking it might serve up mediocre food to the passing tourists, but don't be fooled! They serve delicious quality food, as good as most I have had in my many trips to Italy. We went there for the first time just... More

It seems the staff keep changing here, it is a shame to not see familiar faces anymore. the food here is fantastic, tasty and generous portions. The pizzas and pastas are fantastic, the tiramisu is legendary. The prices are so reasonable for being just off Oxford street. However last time I came they added mushrooms to my pizza (without me... Visited on a very busy Saturday night. Looks very small but there is a much larger dining area downstairs. Downstairs was more lively than we like but much quieter upstairs. Friendly and helpful4 staff Food was very good, generous portions and reasonably priced. Decent wine list. The pizza was excellent and my spaghetti carbonara was good as well. Couldn't manage... This place has the provenance. The Vignali still put their name to it. There is a stand up bar. Italians frequent the place. The ingredients are good. The walls are covered with the requisite photographs, each signed with a flourish, by patrons past, who knew very well which was their good side.. Food as served was okay. Bill did not... More

My partner and I visited Bar Remo in early December and enjoyed phenomenal pizza and great service as usual. The toughest part is choosing a pizza. Great wine list too!

We visited on the off chance of getting a table on a very busy Friday evening, we where seated downstairs and served very well by our waiter. The food was delicious we had gnocchi, the portions are very well sized and despite eyeing up a dessert I couldn't fit it in! Would recommend here :)

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
