If you like modern surroundings, with nice clean minimal lines and sycophantic waiters who are very efficient but rather dull. If you like your curry to be authentic Indian cuisine, as you would find in an Indian home or in India, then Elephant Tandoori is not for you. However, if you want to go to restaurant that hasn't been renovated... More

I fancied a small Indian lunch as a post Christmas pick me up. I wasn't expecting miracles and I didn't get them. What I did get was a very fair and reasonable lunch. In such situations I normally go for vegetarian options as meat can often disappoint. The food was tasty, well cooked, and at only £5.95 hard to moan... More

If you like an Indian Curry and you are in the area, then this won't disappoint you! Well to be honest, if it does disappoint you then you must have had some sensational curries in your time! Compared to other nearby curry houses, Tower and Thames Tandoori for example, this place is much better value. Popadom's come with a nice... More

The food is simply delicious! So, so good. I am grateful for the vegetarian option. The curry was amazing! The price is awesome for all the food that you get. So, so good!

Stumbled across this while staying in hotel for work. Location was fine, just under the subway from tube station. Decor was horrendous, waiters seemed friendly enough. My pint was served out of a can. Menu was average, food was a big let down. Didnt taste of anything. Seemed like it had been microwaved. Chappati was the best part of my... More

Went to the restaurant as I saw it while walking in the mall and was feeling like a curry. The food was average at best. But the main problem was a mouse ran across the carpet floor while I was eating my meal. I pointed it out to the waiter and he said it must have come in from the... More

London Bridge station was closed so the train diverted to Elephant & Castle and, desperate for a curry, we ended up here. The location is rather unattractive and the restaurant decor is not much better. The food was good but not exceptional although the portions were good. The service was mixed: an unsmiley and un-welcoming manager was balanced by a... More

I go into this restaurant about once a week as the staff are always very friendly and it is very cheap, especially for the amount of food you receive. Ignore all the bad reviews, as I have never had a bad experience in this restaurant. I have tried many Indian restaurants over London and this is definitely my favourite!

Good food, reasonably priced, let down by lack of atmosphere and unfriendly staff. Only one other table occupied when I had dinner here. The location on the edge of the Elephant & Castle roundabout doesn't help.
