Good lunchtime food though a tad expensive

I had walked past many times because of the queues but ventured in the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Although the menu was not extensive I had a good choice of vegan salads including tasty dishes with fresh coconut and pineapple and green lentils. We sat outside and it ws very pleasant... read more

I'm really sad to read the poor reviews of Fleet River. I must say that over the years that I stayed in the rooms upstairs, that are sadly no longer available, I enjoyed delicious breakfasts downstairs. I had noticed that the prices had risen substantially though. Perhaps the owners should be a bit more hands on and keeping a check... More

My partner and I went to Fleet River Bakery today after we'd read that the scones were super tasty and I'm afraid I was very disappointed. The scones were ok (although lacking jam) but the service was dismal. The table we were sitting at wasn't cleared despite my requesting (I even piled up the plates on a tray - I... More

This place needs a visit from the Food Safety Department, every surface is dirty and grimy, especially around the area where the sandwiches are stored and the coffee area, all the walls and tiles are disgustingly dirty. I was meeting a friend so had to wait there and risked a coffee which cost £2.80 and was cold. Went elsewhere for... More

I really want to like Fleet River, but having paid over £12 for a flat white, a tea, a chocolate brownie and a scone with cream and jam, I just think their pricing is out of control. I was mulling over the total as I was waiting for our drinks and even went back to check that I hadn't been... More

Popped in here after reading reviews as was in the area. Did not fancy the standard hotel breakfast so opted for this alternative. Breakfast was very good, well made and presented. Staff were helpful and attentive. Will come again if in the area.

Fleet River was recommended to me as a super place to go and work. Neat, tidy place close to Holborn tube. Big wide wooden tables, friendly staff. But, the wifi wouldn't work on either the free network or the private one - and there wasn't much willingness to sort it out or give access to their other network. Spent £10... More

I went there for a breakfast on sunday morning. The staff was very welcoming and I had a tasty coffee with a yogurt and granola and a piece of cake. Really enjoyed this and I will definitely come back for a lunch. It is worth stopping there!

I passed this place a while ago thinking it looked lovely and made a mental note to return. I did, on a Friday lunchtime. It wasn't clear whether the queue was for take-away only as I noticed there was a seating area downstairs. To find out I went straight to the till and said I wanted to eat in and... More

My morning coffee on the way to work, lovely staff, great coffee, and if you have time to park up then it's a pleasant spot not far from busy Kingsway. Definitely recommend, even if there's a long queue it is worth the wait.
