Great Indian food with a jazzy twist !

Delighted with my first visit to this restaurant. Food is very good and best way to experience it is to spend 5 min with the chef to explain what one likes or not, and let him get on with it and let his imagination flow...no time wasted, staff very nice, and surprising jazz atmosphere and music... read more

We had a great evening. The the manager was very welcoming, helpful & friendly. Although one of our party asked for a hot curry, the manager explained that if it wasn't to her taste, he would make her another meal. She found the meal too hot and although another member of our party said he would eat her meal and... More

We are spending a week in London, near Archway, so this place popped up on our radar. Based on the good reviews we ate there last night and had a great experience. If we planned to be here longer we'd go again. We are newcomers to Indian cuisine, but do appreciate good food and consider ourselves open to experimentation. Shortly... More

Just had my 10th meal in The Sitara since I moved into this area recently and thought it was finally time to write a review... the food is super-fresh and delicious, we always have a great welcome from the team, and last night we even got a tour of the kitchen and the cavernous tandoori oven. If you tell them... More

A great welcome from Raj. He promised the best. And he delivered. Having lived in the area for a lifetime why have we not met before! As one trip advisor suggested, forget the menu. Leave the choice to Raj. Glad we did, chicken special, lamb special, the vegetables all freshly cooked to perfection. And a well priced and interesting wine... More

Had a really great time last night trying for the 1st time this little gem in my neighbourhood. The service was amazing and all the recommendations were fresh and tasty. The atmosphere and décor is great, and a really nice change from the sameness of so many Indian places in London. I would definitely recommend if you are in or... More

Based on the solid reviews here you'd think you're in for some exceptional indian food, but not really. There's nothing wrong with it but there's nothing exceptional or even very good about it. We looked at an award on the wall about this restaurant being voted the best restaurant in London, and one of the waiters went on for 5... More

We went out of our way on a quest for great Indian food in London. Raj happily walked us through the menu and helped take care of us with special dishes he thought our kids would enjoy. We remember this restaurant with fondness and recommend it for anyone looking for a great meal in London!

After I tried all the local Indian restaurants in Tufnell Park and I was utterly disappointed by all of them, I decided to extend my search to Archway. Sitara has constantly lived up to my expectations. The food is always tasty, the portions are more than enough and Raj is happy to recommend new stuff to try if you happen... More

We are massive indian food fans, and love jazz too. When we moved to Archway we kept walking past Sitara and saying 'we really must try that place'. Having finally taken the plunge and done so a couple of years ago, we wish we hadn't spent two years being regularly disappointed. Raj and his chefs are first class. They make... More
