Superb Authentic Indian Food

Dropped in without a booking on a Friday evening to this little gem. Place was full, which is a good sign and the staff were excellent. They must have been reading some of the comments on this forum and lifted their game. Food was excellent at reasonable prices and they catered marvelously for an... read more

Ate here a couple of times and the grand thali is just wonderful -take your pick if you want it spicy or not! Service was prompt, friendly and food delivered very quickly. Ate here on our last visit to London in early 2013 and no slip in quality whatsoever.

Stopped here on our first night for a take away and wished we hadn't. Food very bland and tasted horrible. Ordered Pakora's and they were inedible. Went to bed hungry. Avoid if you can.

This little Indian Restaurant off Earl's Court Road could be much better. Yes, the portion was generous but the chicken fried rice I ordered was nothing to write home about. The service too was terrible as I had to remind the staff to get a glass of water and a beer. If you are considering it, think again there is... More

Expensive menu - Kingfisher was a fiver just for a small bottle. The mango chutney tasted like chemicals and the peshwari naan like cart grease. The poppadoms were plain only and tasted like cardboard. The curry was small and weak. All in all a very expensive poor quality Indian food chain. Better off with the real deal.

Good take-away service too, pleasant decor, tasty, fair-sized portions of food. Our grandson found the odour of spices somewhat overwhelming. however.

Very well priced and good food with lovely hospitality. We had the butter chicken and lamb vindaloo with rice and naan bread. Perfect for a quick dinner

The food was extremely good. Being crowd , sometimes the staff has no time to reach you in time with what you ask for (more nann, more rice, more yogurt , etc).Maybe a bit to spicy for my taste, but what the hell, in indian restaurant what to expect ???Again, food was very good. Thank you.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
