Visited very early evening with family so hardly anyone else there. Despite this, service was a bit slow so it makes you wonder what it would be like if it was busy! Food was very nice though, nice and hot and well presented, so no complaints there. What we didn't like though, and others have mentioned it too, is that... More

Used to pop in once in a while to the previous bar in Temple & thought it was a lovely place for a couple of cheeky steins, this was my first visit to the new premises near Liverpool St & I must say what a transformation, two area's to enjoy yourself, large & bright compared to the Temple bar. Our... More

Arrange a birthday meal here with some friends and we were not disappointed! The beer is great. The food, whilst not gourmet, was plentiful (portions are outrageously large) and the band were superb, very loud to begin with, but maybe the beer helped out with this? Can't recommend this place enough and a huge thanks to Eva our lovely waitress.

I went to Bierschenke last week, was the first time ever for me in a German restaurant. I had a Snitzel and Paulaner beer which was just sooo tasty. After that experience I think I really gotta go to October fest! Our waitress Julia was one of the loveliest waitresses I ever had. She also speaks German fluently! All in... More

Found this pub by mistake when out with a mixed group of friends last Saturday night, only been open a few weeks. Had a cracking good night, great beer, air conditioned, warm welcome and huge food portions and large drinking tables and to top it off the band came out and the pub had a great sing a long. Going... Contrary to other reviews, I found the food reasonably priced, given the portion sizes (two people could easily share a starter and a main). The quality of the food was ok, too. I have to agree with one of my predecessors here, it's probably good, solid German food for the foreign palate (my English friends loved it), but as a... More

I went there to watch the Germany - USA match during the world cup. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was really good (maybe a bit expensive - but hey, that's London). The service was very good, we had a lovely waitress called Julia, who was very chatty and explained the different beers to me. Great service! I can definitely... More

If you want to enjoy excellent Bavarian food and all kinds of German beer, this is the right place! Love it and definitely come back! Danke, Daniela

I was at the Bierschenke for the world cup final! Being German, I absolutely wanted to watch the Game in a German restaurant in London and Bierschenke was my favourite choice since we watched most games there. The place was crowded from the opening (12am) on and full of German fans during the whole day. It was packed with people... More
