A fun night out

It's a small place with limited seating. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and got a drink while we waited by the door for a table to come free. There's a mixture of standing and seating areas for eating. You get what comes free first. We were first standing at a barrel. But we asked for the... read more

I went there with a friend. I'm not the person who likes to eat while standing, however the seats to sit are random and you have to stay, it's more an bar atmosphere. However the food is really delicious and is one of the best tapas in London. But I prefer more tapas bars where you can sit properly.

We just found this place by chance at the end of a long walk and although we did have to wait, it was well worth it. It's part of Jose Pizarro's "empire", serving tapas and wine in a tiny space. All the dishes were excellent but especially the fish. We will definitely return.

This is an absolute gem. Genuinely epic food, visit after visit- I travel to Spain regularly. Superb staff- genuine tapas with brilliant wine selection. If you need something more formal- visit Pizzaro, a short walk south. You will NEVER be disappointed.

We love this place! It's a great walk down a great place to a tiny tapas bar. It's always crowded (even at 3pm) but the host always finds a nook for you. Wonderful wine list as well. Best tapas in London. We moved an hour outside of London, but it's always a must visit when we hit the town. The... More

the food is very simple and good. It is more like a bar than restaurant where you have a couple of drinks and you order food. The atmosphere is excellent and the service is very quick.

Small, compact but amazing food. Passionate staff. Lovely place. Can't wait to return. Some diners expect to stand & eat at the bar. Some bar stools avail. Well worth it.

Love this place. Always great food and vibe. Cool minimalist place where the food does the talking. Much better that it's grown up sister restauatant down the road!

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
