Absolutely better quality and value especially for convenient simple chain food meal

Fresh is an important characteristic of the foods serve here, some very imaginative. We've, in a few visits, enjoyed various, (some imaginative with others standard) soups including sag aloo (L3.25/$5) red chili, ginger garlic diced onions, fresh spinach, potatoes, curry spices and creamy yogurt... read more

Consistent and decent quality of sandwiches, for a chain. When they started several years back they were a major improvement on what was typically on offer. Now of course there is much more competition and there are many independents that offer better stuff. My point here is about coffee. A meaningless amorphous froth deposited on a bitter, aroma-less brown liquid.... More

Traveling with two picky, privileged grandchildren in Europe but when we encountered this place, all was well again. The sandwiches were fresh, abundant, and welcomed after lots of "strange things" put into sandwiches elsewhere. Quick service, great desserts, and breads. We wanted it everywhere in France but never found another except in London. Try it!

I don't visit pret very often and each time I do I remember why not. Why must they serve coffee in paper cups when I am eating in, and why charge more for the food when eating in when they don't give you anything else, like a plate. Having said that the food is good and as a take away... More

Checked my sandwich and found what might have been a pubic hair and returned to the store for a refund which I got. No complimentary drink though and I felt really disgusting and I wanted one. The manager didn't really apologise and actually I felt a bit embarrassed. It looked like it had been deliberately placed... which worried me.

I am not a great fan of chains but always find Pret A Manger provide good value. Service is always quick and efficient, the food fresh and delicious and there is plenty of choice. I am sure there must be some that fall below par but I have used them all over the UK and have yet to have a... More

Always great efficient service with good quality food made from fresh ingredients. Try the posh cheddar and pickle baguette, one of my favourites...

I commute into London on a regular basis. With my office being just above Pret, I am a regular visitor for both breakfast and lunch! I love the breakfast smoothies and the variety of soups. Quick service, good choice and tasty food, just what's needed! Staff are also very friendly! Quite often chains can be average, not this one!

I've been getting sandwiches from Pret a Manger since 1988 and they use excellent fresh ingredients, make the sandwiches/salads on the premises. I love the Italian Chicken Salad and the lemon poppy seed cake. This branch has lots of good tables, wifi and lots of light streaming in, and its about 5 minutes from St Paul's and the Millenium Bridge.... More

I always got Cheese and Tomato and a cup of Americano every morning. It's like a mood booster everytime I bite the pastry. It melted in my mouth.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
