So much to see

Not too busy on a blustery December afternoon. The street performers are a huge draw. There is quite a lot to see. People watch to your heart's content.

Trafalgar square is one of the must visits when in London. But at Christmas it comes to life with the fountain lit up at night, and the beautiful Christmas tree which sits in prime location. We had the pleasure of listening to a local choir performing Christmas carols which made for a festive occasion.

On a sunny day, this outdoor vista restaurant is a good place to do business. Although overpriced a good experience. Would be back.

Try and get a stool to over look Trafalgar Square, a great view with tasty cocktails. We didn't make a reservation, but you may need to with meals or at certain times. Great for a girly drink and also a great place to go as a couple! Felt really welcome and the staff were friendly.

We booked the VIP area for New Year's Eve and it was the best view of the London New Year's fireworks. They provided warmers and blankets (and umbrellas which we thankfully did not need). They had many attentive wait staff bringing drinks, and the music was festive but not so loud as to interfere with conversation. It was great not... More

This bar in central London is one of my favourite places in the city centre. The bar is offering stunning views with a great selection of cocktails and great and surprisingly affordable food. Staff is very friendly and courteous, especially one of the managers, lennaert. Can't wait for the next season to start!

We stayed at the Trafalgar back in August. The view from the restaurant made our stay better. Drinks are very expensive. Waitress did a great job during a busy day.

Not the cheapest place, but for a special occasion and for the view! It is a must at least once in the lifetime!

We stopped here for lunch whilst doing a bike tour of London. Fantastic location with incredible views. Their lunch menu was, by central London standards, remarkably good value. Unfortunately, our order seemed to have been forgotten/misplaced. We had to wait a good 15 mins longer than everyone else. The bike tour party wasn't that big that they were swamped at... More

Nice view, shared a platter for 2 which was small and expensive for such a small portion. Cocktail choice was good but again expensive. You could get better value elsewhere

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
