It's worth the view and the ambience

It's a small area. But if you can get a seat at the bar along the edge side of the roof. The view is great. The food was pricey and our wait staff was quite slow. it took us so long to get drinks and then to order and then to pay. But they weren't rude, just slow. It's worth... read more

We were a group of 6 girls wanting to catch up and celebrating a late birthday. Drinks at the lobby were normal@ London Prices. Place is just a lobby, so I found expensive. There is a Q for the lift where you pay 5£ And is not worth paying for the view as when you are sitting down you don't... More

We had a voucher and trouble started from reservation. The site did not have our voucher options hence it was impossible to book it on line, the contact tel number nobody replied , just nice music , promise that somebody will be with you shortly and no reply for 10 min . I have tried 4 times during day and... More

The £5 charge was unexpected, the reception didn't warn it was just an entry fee and didn't include a drink - money wasted. The layout is AWFUL - people are packed like sardines in a tin, you can literally brush shoulders with the person at the next table. The worst - SMOKING. No warning that it is a smoking place... Booked in advance an area for 14 people, I was told that we had 2 hours at the table and there was a minimum spend. Fine. As soon as the group got to the hotel we were told we had to leave the table at 0430PM, I thought they were joking. At 0450PM a very rude lady not only interrupted... More

I've been to Vista several times this season and am always impressed with the general quality of the experience: The views are the best in London, the staff is always friendly and attentive and the drinks and food are outstanding. This is definitely a world-class bar. I think some of the negative reviews are from people who aren't used to... More

£5.00 cover charge, Really? Our friends we are meeting are already there. Suppose we better pay it. £32 for two Gin and Tonics? Surroundings- shabby and run down, dirty dustbins on show, fake grass and plants in abundance. Staff shabbily dressed. Typical west end hotel trying to make something of nothing and charging a fortune in the process Will not... More

The roof top bar wasn't as lavish as I had originally expected, however the staff were very friendly and attentive, the drinks and food were lovely and the location was ideal! There is a £5 per person entrance fee and the food was a little pricey considering the portions. However, the cocktails are what you expect to pay in central... More

We went to the Vista bar on Saturday afternoon. As Vista bar was full we were asked if we wanted to wait until a table became available in the bar downstairs. We were a group of 4 and decided to wait. There is a fee of £5.00 to pay per person to have a drink upstairs, which we were all... More

We were given a group on voucher gift for this experience. We did pick a great day and went on a Sunday lunchtime. On arrival greeted by friendly staff and shown to our bar type seats overlooking Trafalgar Sq. I cannot fault the location, great views of the London Skyline. Included in the deal was a cocktail and a sharing... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
