Came across this humble little thai restaurant and from the facade, didn't expect any mind blowing experience. It was rather cramped and definitely not suitable for large gatherings. We were swiftly escorted to our table by the friendly & smily waitress. The thai fish cake was simply splendid, with a beutiful aroma and gentle texture. The stir fried pork with... More

Good Thai food is hard to find in London. Some restaurants masquerade as Thai when they are actually Chinese or Malaysian which is such a let down. Thai taste is none of the above. I especially like the fish in sweet chilli sauce, seafood curry and the green chicken curry. They also serve real prawn crackers (not the bleached white... More

I visited this restaurant for the first time recently, situated near Gloucester road Tube station it has a lot of competition close by, many of which I have visited in previous trips. This restaurant was the best by far, if you are happy to have a Thai meal of course! Really friendly staff, gave excellent service despite being very busy... More

We would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an authentic experience of Thai food. We had a great mixture including super tasty noodle salad, red curry and pad tha and morning glory. All were as good as anything we have had in Thailand. The service was excelent and were very happy with the bill of £60 including two beers and... More

We really enjoyed this little gem of a place. It had a surprisingly upscale (but comfortable) atmosphere, good food, and good service. A great place to relax after a long day of sight seeing.

Generally good quality Thai food, especially the fish cakes, duck curry and Pad Thai. Staff quite friendly and helpful. Bunch of noisy Swedes at the next table which was slightly annoying, but can't blame the restaurant for that. Surprisingly, there was no mango so we couldn't enjoy our favourite Thai desserts. Couldn't the kitchen staff have just popped out to... More

I wanted to give this lovely restaurant a good review, but the food is just not adequate. Thai Taste is on Cromwell Road near many Kensington hotels and clearly caters to a collection of hotel clients who do not value the hot taste of chilies or the umami of fish sauce. The food is bland and sometimes poorly cooked. Being... More

Went for dinner tonight with a friend, had the mixed starter for 2, then the drunken noodles and the duck red curry. Food was incredible, good portion sizes and for being busy the staff were highly attentive. Will definitely go again!

Visited Thai Taste today for lunch with a group of colleagues from work. Restaurant was clean, service was great, and the food was delicious. My only complaint would be that it was dead silent - a little background music would go a long way!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
