The Clink is really worth a visit. Cleaning security is a bit of a bind, but once you are in the restaurant it's fantastic. Service is impeccable and the food is wonderful. Amazed by the high standard and professionalism. Will definitely book again.

Is this a restaurant or is it a classroom project half finished? I expected to be pampered by lots of attention from our waiter and or a head waiter. Not so. And SUCH SLOW service too. Place was almost empty but eg. our starters took aeons to come. Portions SO small it was ridiculous. Dessert sounded fab on the menu... More

Go for the food, go for the service, go because you are helping people change their lives. What an adventure this turned out to be, from the security to get in, to the shop and what fantastic food. This is way above average restaurant quality, all prepared in house, and the service was exemplary.

& their Smoked apple & blue cheese mousse starter was outstanding. The tea smoked duck, wiv watercress salad was a taste sensation! My dessert which was peach melba (with a twist) was awesome. I expected to go to the clink & eat a 'Gastro-Hearty-type meal' & i was jaw droppingly suprised to find the exact opposite! I will defo enquire... More

Having recently moved to the area we checked out the best rated local restaurants and found this. Having done a bit more research on it we were very keen to try it out. The soup was up there with the nicest I have had, lamb excellent and the homemade ice cream melted in the mouth. We will definitely be visiting... More

What a great afternoon. It's not every day you can have a fine dining experience in a prison and it's a birthday I won't forget in a while. We were greeted by a number of very friendly staff who escorted us through the visitors' section to the restaurant. Once inside you'd have no idea you were in a prison. Our... More

Menu had something for all tastes. The Butternut Squash soup was delicious. The Dessert I had was stunning to look at and as they knew it my Birthday they piped Happy Birthday on my plate which made my day. As with other reviews the portions are not huge but we were glad of that as it meant we could manage... More

This is a good insight into what can be achieved with organised training and very worthwhile and it is a charity. They hope to establish more restaurants within other prisons. The restaurant was far nicer than expected, the service very good - young men with very pleasing manners and the menu was excellent. The non alcoholic cocktail cranberry juice with... More

We visited the Clink restaurant and were very very impressed by the service and quality of food. We both had soup starter and for main course we had lamb and salmon, to complete the perfect lunch we finished with the cheese selection, summer berries and coffee. There is a great range of non alcoholic fruit drinks, cocktails. Coffee's and teas. Everything... More

I think to start with, it makes good sense to separate the charitable intention from the eating experience.... To see and experience the work of The Clink in aiming to rehabilitate people leaving prison into a meaningful job, which will surely not only restore their self worth and provide an opportunity for gainful long term employment but also break that...
