Service was awful - had to get own menus, waited half an hour for drinks, poor apology when we complained, had to go up to pay the bill. Food tasted fine but shockingly small portions for the quality and price. £16.50 for a small chicken breast, two tiny potatoes and some greens...really?! We withheld the tip and will not be... More

For the quality of food on offer, this is distinctly average. There were ten of us having 'Sunday lunch'. Half ordered a Sunday roast, another, moules a la creme, plus a couple of unremarkable burgers. The leg of lamb was on the raw side of rare, and on the positive side, roast potatoes cooked in duck fat were very good,... More

Well, a cross between, or even better a pout-pouri of a Bar, a Club and a restaurant. Security at the door, fine, loud music, fine, the DJ actually was spinning some great tunes, congratulation to her!....continuing, place, fine, service, fine. The one thing that was average was the food: we went in tired and just wanted a light bite, so... More

We visited on a Saturday morning following a recommendation from friends. At this point there were about 5 tables taken, so not particularly busy. We were greeted and arms gestured we could take our pick of tables. We opted for one on a stylish, elevated platform- great for people watching outside! Menus arrived and then after about 10 minutes we... More

on the only plus note of the visit, it is a gorgeous venue but it seems such a shame that everything else lets it down. maybe if they invested as much money in training their staff as they did on paintings and "vintage chic" i would have something more positive to say about the place. was in for Saturday brunch/lunch... The place is nice and refurbished and the beers are good (specially Camden's Hells) so it's a good place to have a drink. But when it comes to eat, things change. Service is slow, unefficient and annoying, specially considering they charge a 12'5% gratuity, And the food... well, they serve the worst overall sunday roast I've ever tasted: the worcestershire... hungry after a busy spotted the alice house when driving through the Queens parks area. it had a quirky layout in the inside. tables were simple ,plain and wooden nothing fancy but functional. Iliked the way some of the tables we positioned on what looked like a platform or elevated area,. we opted for elevated table. menu was interesting. I... More

Service here can never improve unless management and staff are replaced. On arrival we asked the bar waitress for the food menu and she returned with 2 pints of beer she then diverted in another direction. We then asked the second person who was again serving drinks( later we realised she was the manager) and she very rudely told us... More

My husband and I have been here a few times and have always found, like so many other reviewers, that the service at The Alice House is slow and inattentive. However, the cocktail list is fabulous (the gin and lemonade with jam in it so delicious) and I can't fault the food, even if it is overpriced. I love their... More
