Palms of Goa is a unique Indian restaurant, serving distinctly Goan cuisine. The history of this special branch of cooking reflects Goas Indian and Portuguese heritage - the main ingredients being coconut and spices, creating a flavoursome and distinctive taste. Located on Londons bustling New Cavendish Street, Palms of Goa is a popular place for business lunches and after-work meals. The rich red interior and delicious, healthy food make the experience of dining here a memorable one, and our favourite dishes include the Lamb Xacutti, a Goan dish prepared with coconut, vinegar and hot spices, and the restaurants renowned Pumkin (sic) Curry. Palms of Goa has been in business for over thirteen years, and is a favourite spot for Soho diners.

Really good Indian; really good!

Charlotte street has such a variety of choice for restaurants and they're all so good, you were hoping that the Indian offering would be good and it was. Arrived with 2 colleagues to be greeted by the owner who'd be there for 21 years he gleefully announced. "Come in and enjoy!" That's a welcome... read more

I've been travelling around India but didn't become a fan of Indian food, probably because it was always too spicy for me. First time we went to this restourant purely because of the name & and my Goa memories :) It's a cosy family restaurant, food is always delicious and not too spicy, and it's good value for money.

I visited this small Indian restaurant with two of my friends for a meal on Friday. The restaurant was quite busy and the waiter pleasantly asked us to wait for few minutes and jokingly said its worth waiting, the food here is good and they been here in Charlotte St for 21 years. Surprisingly the food was delicious, it's definitely worth... More

A mixed bag! We took our brave pills and ordered an Indian white wine which was surprisingly drinkable (not being renowned for their wines). Food also of good quality, I ordered the Goan Chicken Curry which I asked to spiced up a little. The spice levels were actually perfect, and with lovely crispy Onion Bhajis and excellent Saag Aloo I... More

I was walking and seen this small restaurant empty, so decided to try cos is not common to see to many Goan Restaurants in London. I was surprised to see that all the other places on this street were very busy, but the Palms of Goa wasn't. The two young lads who were serving seem very lazy, and it feels... More

We ate late (perhaps this is why the food was so bad?) and although there were 6 of us and the restaurant is tiny, we were seated straight away. I had the butterfly prawns to start....the prawns were nice, but the sauce they came in was bland and quite a gritty texture (?) I had the Chicken Madras for my... More

Visited the hotel today for dinner. Food was extremely tangy. Had Batata wada which was very tangy and kofta curry which so super tangry as with. Overall food was not good. The waiters n managers were very helpful but the chef didn't do a good job.

Down to earth curry house on Charlotte Street. Food OK, not too expensive. Lightening fast service with meal arriving very quickly after order placed and before finishing popadoms. Service charge not automatically added. Pleasant waiters. Nice artwork on the ceiling. Plenty of good pubs nearby for a pint before or after the curry. Close to Goodge Street underground, Tottenham Court... More
