Excellent

Great food. Creative menu. Fantastic and attentive service. Really friendly. Great wine list including Coravin by the glass which is a great innovation (albeit not my first choices of years for Bordeaux and Burgundy). Entrees a step better than Main Courses. Cheese board extensive but could have... read more

Back once again to my favourite restaurant in London. There may be better ones, although I doubt it, but the food ambiance and service is consistently superb. The wines lovely, the passion fruit marshmallow at the end with coffee just wonderful! We always go for lunch, sit in an alcove and cannot fault anything. Today I ate asparagus then rabbit... More

Restaurant quite known and fairly expensive, you can find here delicious dishes - and the fish is terrific! I had to wait a while to be served (15-20 minutes), the place is still comfortable and the waiters are young but capable. I can only recommend it.

They may have lost their Michelin star buy this is still my favourite restaurant in London. Time and again the service is exceptional and the food consistently outstanding. The crab ravioli is amazing and there's an extensive wine list to every taste and budget. A great place for a long lunch or an intimate dinner. The restaurant is cosy without... More

Taken to Medlar by my eldest son for lunch. Delicious inventive food, very good non patronising non interfering service, made to feel very welcome. The passion fruit marshmallow on its own is worth a visit! Look forward to going there again.

The stated aim of this place is ''to cook seasonal ingredients...accurately and simply...to cook food that is first and foremost satisfying to eat.'' Well, I can hardly think of other restaurants in London that achieve their mission more convincingly. Each single dish we had today was immensely satisfying For starters, a tagliatelle (slightly overcooked for this Italian) with lovely, perfectly... More

My friend and I had an extraordinary dining experience here the other night. Small and pretty inside, and unpretentious, we felt welcomed and appreciated from the start. A set menu of three courses for £46, it was beautifully presented and delicious. I had a delightful starter of asparagus with a soft poached pheasant egg, capocollo and tapenade which was so... Couldn't have asked for more. Great service, lovely helpful staff, excellent well presented food and a wonderful selection of wines. As I think some else said in a review, what's not to like? Loved it. A very happy customer.

Medlar. What can I say. It continues to be excellent, relaxed, well thought out and has possibly the best cheeseboard on the planet. The menu - 6 or so starters and mains to choose from. What a dilemma. Between our party we have a good selection and they are all excellent. Beautifully presented, full of taste and interesting. The wine... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
