Very Tasty Mexican in the Business District

Having never been to street food stalls in Mexico, I can't guarantee its authenticity, but it's pretty tasty. Even with queues going out the door, it rarely takes longer than 10 minutes to get served. Staff are friendly and very efficient. Fresh food being brought out regularly. It's pretty important to know what you want by the time you're at... More

It's a decent place for Mexican fastfood. But they have managed to take a great concept and make it rather bland. It would be good to have some more options when it comes to sauces, for example. I presume that the founders of Chilango must be from South America or have at least experienced real South American street food. But... More

We were in London for a weekend and fancied a Mexican for dinner - having looked this place up and seen the excellent rating we got a cab here. We were a little surprised to find it to be a fast food joint rather than a restaurant (think Mexican maccy D) but WOW this was probably the best burrito I... More

Chilango Islington has always been my favourite Mexican because of the fresh ingredients and great tasting food served with a friendly smile. I've been there many times and always had a good experience. Unfortunately, I took some family to Chilango Chancery Lane for the first time. We were very disappointed by the unfriendly staff as well as the below par... More

I go here regularly so t can't be bad. It's a Mexican food chain, the food is perfectly ok for a lunchtime or a bit to eat with friends but in no way would I describe it as a place for business or a romantic meal for example due to the style and busy nature. Having said that this is... More

I just had a takeaway. What a disappointment. Nearly £9 for chewy, grisly steak. A tiny portion and they forgot to give me my lemonade twice. Yuk.

This place was not what I expected. The whole experience was like grabbing lunch at Subway, but not as fresh or healthy (I have nothing against Subway by the way), with the ingredients in little pots ready for the server to add on, which are all exposed to be coughed on. This also means they are not as hot as... More

I have visited here several times, although a bit pricey the burritos are worth a special visit, the pork is belly pork rather than the usual pulled pork, which adds flavour. Amongst the best burritos.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
