This was my 2nd visit to the restaurant, on the first occasion the food was good but the service disappointing. This time Saturday lunch with girlfriends and I was hoping that things would have improved. Sadly, they hadn't. The setting is gorgeous and we all went for the set lunch menu as there was a good range of choices. However... More

I must admit, I was just looking for a nice place to have a quiet drink with my friend so I stumbled onto Gilbert Scott. Seated by the bar, I put down my work backpack with a sign of relief and then looking up, I was greeted with a smile. It just felt nice. Our order was taken and we... More

A great place to meet someone from out of town, especially if they are travelling by train. Food was delicious; not cheap, but i guess that's what food now costs. There is so little between the chain or local restaurant at £20 a head and the £50 which this cost.

The Gilbert Scott, tucked in the Saint Pancras Grand, offers a fine selection of traditional, though artificially refined, English food, with a particular emphasis on fine fish and shell fish. The wine list is good (we chose a bottle from my favourite Margaret River vineyard, Cape Mantell) but without as much English wine as one would like. For starters we... More

My wife and I have taken Afternoon Tea at a few well-heeled London establishments and to date have never been disappointed. Without a doubt the best has been The Ritz.. That is quite expensive in comparison to the others, but you do get what you pay for. Recently we took Tea at the Rubens, this was the same price as... More

Impressive location and extensive drinks and cocktail menu, but you might need a sympathetic bank manager!

We had the Afternoon Tea in the Gilbert Scott bar on Saturday 2nd August, with my sister. They fitted us in without a booking and we enjoyed cocktails before and after. The food was delicious and the setting was beautiful; peaceful and calm.

Food was superb, prepared with care and attention to detail. Service was exceptional and they took us down to meet the chef who was really nice chap and took the time to have a chat. Our waitress who's name I didn't catch ( she was wearing glasses working on Saturday 2nd aug) couldn't have done a better job, excellent care... More

Six of us had the pleasure of dining at The Gilbert Scott, it was our first time and a pleasure it was. The architecture creates a good ambience and the staff were attentive and polite to a point. It was a celebratory lunch so champagne to start followed by some excellent wines. The sommelier was helpful and recommended a great Australian... More
