We had a cocktail and a bar snack

The bar looks amazing, the room is great. We had a cocktail which tasted good. We then decided to stay and have a bar snack, which again was good. The service was attentive and professional. We were quietly discussing how we could do with some more toast for our meat platter, and we didn't even... read more

A surprise birthday treat with the family. We expected the best from one of the top restaurants in London and weren't disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious, expensive of course but not somewhere we would normally visit. The staff were very attentive and obviously well trained, and none of them were English but spoke the language perfectly! A birthday to... More

On arrival the receptionists were more interested in their computers than taking our coats, We had to ask for our cocktail (halfway through our first course) which was part of our menu deal. A basket of bread arrived during our starter course (not before). My wife's fish had to be sent back as it was undercooked and cold. My steak... More

During a weekend in London, my wife and I ate at the Ledbury one night and the Gilbert Scott the next night. There is no question as to which restaurant we both preferred - the Gilbert Scott. The food was excellent, the service was attentive but not intrusive and after the meal I felt I had eaten a meal. I... More

The set menu is excellent value. £30 for 3 courses. I had Slow Cooked Egg with chorizo jam, Poached Hake, Cheese selection (£4 supplement); my wife had Home smoked Sea Trout, Poached Hake, Yorkshire rhubarb parfait. Superb but gets better if you go for add ons. Cocktails in the atmospheric bar, a good wine list by bottle, carafe or glass.... More

We had the most enjoyable lunch here last Friday. The menu was inspiring and the wind list excellent. The staff charming and friendly. A great experience. And an opportunity to do some celebrity spotting at the same time. Everyone has to eat.

My wife and I have been itching to go here since they restored and re-opend this amazing Victorian railway hotel in 2011. After 4 years of waiting, we finally made it there for a lengthy Friday lunchtime sitting. Was it worth the wait? Of course it was! The food was excellent and unlike some fine dining which looks pretty but... More

I turned up here on one of those 3-courses-for-whatever packages with a cocktail included, and left feeling that neither the food nor the staff could have been better. I'm going back within the next month; there were so many things on the a la carte menu I wanted to try. Lovely people, lovely food, great surroundings.

We were really looking forward to this, with the Marcus Wareing connection it's bound to be good, right? Wrong... The restaurant is in a really interesting room, it is tastefully done, and despite being cavernous does not make you feel too insignificant! We found the front of house staff good, but not exceptional, and mistakes were made, like removing the... More

We went to the Gilbert Scott for a special celebration and I can not fault it. The food was out of this world, the drinks were excellent and the service matched. I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special time.
