Lovely lunch in stylish surroundings

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here, beautifully cooked & presented in really atmospheric surroundings. The historic bar and restaurant make a great setting and the flair and passion of Wareing's Mayfair restaurant lend themselves well to the Kings Cross address.

I hosted a mature ladies tea party here as part of a pre-wedding celebration. It was a most disappointing experience. The service was atrocious. We were shown to our table and then ignored for 20 minutes whilst the waiting staff congregated at the bar chatting. I had to get up and ask the waiting staff to come and take the... More

My wife and I have been to the Gilbert Scott several times before but this was the first time for Sunday lunch. I have to disagree with those reviewers that say they have had poor service. We have never had anything but the most attentive and friendly service. I particularly enjoy the advice provided on which wines to have to... More

Myself and two friends booked afternoon tea and when we arrived we were amazed by the beautiful building. We walked through the hotel to the Gilbert Scott restaurant (which wasn't well sign posted). We were waiting at the desk for a while until a member of staff came over, found our booking and showed us to our seat. We were... More

My wife and I had been told about this adventure by Marcus Wareing and decided to try it after an early theatre performance. The setting is awesome , in the St Pancras Renaissance hotel . We had a starter and a main course each ,my wife had the tureen which was full of flavour and packed with superb pieces of... More

We went to The Gilbert Scott for my Father's 70th Birthday. What an experience, the building is stunning, but what is more the food and service are out of this world. Everything was so fresh and delicious and the staff were friendly and made the whole group feel at ease. Would definitely recommend a visit to anyone who has not... More

What an excellent venue to have our large family gathering,25 of us. From when we booked it to when we left it couldn't have gone any better. This is thanks to all the staff, who were so helpful, jovial and treated us all as individuals. Thank you too,to the superb chefs and team downstairs, The food was lovely, in fact... More

I decided to take my mum here for an afternoon tea on Easter Sunday as a treat. What a let-down! I booked in advance - which I hadn't needed to do because the place was practically empty. I now realise why. The images on the website give the impression of a traditional afternoon tea with white tablecloths, cake stand etc.... More

Just walking past decided to call in for a drink, walked into a pretty impressive building nicely decorated sat at the bar and ordered drinks, these were served quickly and efficiently maybe a touch expensive but hey ho. Watched a range of fancy cocktails being made no idea how much they were never saw a price list. Don't be tempted... More

Was treated to a meal here by my Dad during our stay at St Pancras hotel and have to say we were both pretty disappointed. He had eaten here before and had high hopes for our evening but we were both left feeling let down and not entirely full from our meals! Service was quite slow considering the restaurant was...
