Dessert was wow

We visited this restaurant for a meal. The restaurant and indeed the building itself is beautiful. A few hitches in service. We advised the waiting staff we would like the set menu. However it was a little unclear which of the dishes were in the set menu. The Bill was larger then expected and when... read more

I booked the Private Dining Room for a dinner for some friends who had come over from America as a special treat and we were all blown away. The private dinning room is perfect, straight awway you feel relaxed and comfortable. This really set the tone for what was a fantatsic evening. The food and service were oustanding and I... More

The best Rabbit and Prawn pie ever..... The peanut Parfait was also very good too. Fully recommend this restaurant as the service, attention to detail and the food was brilliant.

I have been to this restaurant several times and it is getting better. It does feel like a hotel restaurant but thats what it is and thats fine. Sensible placing of tables, not noisy so good for conversation. Gothic ambience but not overdone so not too dark like some areas at St Pancras. Well balanced menu that changes - maybe... More

We have dined at the Gilbert Scott on numerous occasions and whilst it is not our preferred style of restaurant - it is rather too large and canteen like - we have usually enjoyed the food and the service has usually been okay. On this occasion our experience could not have been more different. We were offered a horrible small... More

I dined here yesterday with 2 clients for lunch. As we had a tight schedule, we did not have a three course lunch. We selected 2 starters between us and a main each. One of my client ordered a class of white wine and a bottle of still water was shared. I wanted smoked salmon on a bed of salad... More

I chose this place as somewhere to take my mother, for Sunday lunch easily found from Euston where she was coming into. I wanted something a bit special. Well, the venue is certainly special, a beautiful dining room in the spectacularly refurbished St Pancras is wonderful. We liked the look of the menu, lots of choice (though limited for the... More

We were there for Sunday lunch and meeting friends for lunch - it was her birthday. Everything was very good - I had the Dorset crab and they had the asparagus - excellent. We had very good service and the food was well presented and very tasty. Could not fault anything.

As many have said, lovely room and location, very nice but I wouldn't say great food, especially for the prices charged Portions particularly the desserts were a bit stingy. Probably wouldn't go back, maybe to try the set menu

The staff are extremely attentive and helpful, the decor, ambience and surroundings are outstanding. The food may not be the very top class but it is very good, especially the crab starter and apple tarte tatin dessert. . This was my third visit to the Gilbert Scott and all have been wonderful experiences. This last one was for 14 people... More
