High tea and plenty of atmosphere

Pricey but worth the splurge to soak in the atmosphere of this historic building! Five of us had high tea, some with the champagne option -- the service was good, and the food was very nicely presented and interestingly different to American palates. Since high tea was a must, this was a good... read more

We had afternoon tea and it did not live up to expectations. The restaurants architecture was good but the Afternoon tea was overpriced in comparison to other London venues. There was no tea menu offered and the tea was in the same pots that you get in Patisserie Valerie. The sandwiches were O.K. but I thought the pork sliders were... More

This was a birthday surprise meal which started in the bar, the staff happy obliged with customised cocktails and birthday candles. The interior is gorgeous, each turn brings with it a new revelation and the atmosphere is wonderful. It's both opulent and relaxed and feels incredibly british. We were a group of 8 and offered the chefs table in the... More

Five of us had lunch here today. It's an interesting environment but not one of those rooms that makes you want to settle in or rush back. Service was OK and efficient and there was a good ambiance. We only had main courses but these all vanished quickly (Rabbit and Prawn pie, sea bream, steak, grilled Aubergine) and a few... More

I was recently taken with my mum to The Gilbert Scott for her special birthday. It was fantastic. We booked a table but unfortunately we were running late, this was no problem and they held the table for us. We were not rushed and were able to take our time. It's a beautiful place with lovely attentive staff. Water was... More

Perched on the end of the St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel attached to the station and next to the British Museum and Kings Cross it's an ideal place to get to from London and the rest of the U.K.. Very good service, reasonable prices, very good menu and wine selection. There are area's in the restaurant that are quiet enough... More

The Gilbert Scott is attached to St Pancras station and follows the same grand style as the station itself. Don't miss a look round the interior with its sweeping staircase and soaring arches. And yes, the food's good too - not astonishingly, but tasty and not ridiculously priced (we paid £72 for drinks and two-course meals plus coffee. The staff... More

We ate here during a pre-Christmas stay at The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. Loved the service, atmosphere and beautiful food in lovely surroundings. We had rib of beef with a bone marrow and green peppercorn sauce. The meal was absolutely delicious, so much so, we came back again during our stay! It didn't disappoint the second time. It really was... More

This was a visit whilst staying at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel for my birthday and the restaurant was in character with the hotel. Stunning architecture, beautifully designed and a calming, luxurious atmosphere. We decided to have a drink in the bar first and the serving staff were very attentive and aware of our restaurant booking ensuring the move into... More
