Everyone does Sunday roast, but finding somewhere a bit special can be tricky. The Gilbert Scott is worth the extra mile and pound - excellent food/cooking in a lovely setting, and though not cheap is worth the money. It's good for all ages, but was spot-on for our party (mostly over 80s!), with great assistance provided for our disabled guest.... More

The Gilbert Scott Absolutely amazing entrance/interior and seeing the restored St. Pancras Hotel has been on my to do list. Booked very last minute with some friends with the intention of having a “Sunday Roast”. The starters were good and were served efficiently. For mains I ordered the Courgette flower, ratatouille, pine nuts, chilli. Firstly there was so much batter... More

I went to The Gilbert Scott with my family as my post graduation dinner. From getting out the cab we were treated wonderfully and the service everywhere was great. The food was good but very pricy for what you are getting, the Champagne was ridiculous so we settled for sparkling wine. The atmosphere was wonderful, and as we were having... More

Having spent the weekend in London to celebrate our Ruby Wedding anniversary my wife and I visited The Gilbert Scott for lunch before travelling home. The food and service were excellent, we were given a pre dinner cocktail on the house and our coffee was accompanied by a "Happy Anniversary" plate (in chocolate) and truffles. The Dorset Crab starter and... More

The food is experimental at time but always interesting and all dishes we tried (about 12 altogether) were excellent but one, but that is what happens when you try unusual combinations and favours. The service was excellent - the waiter was happy to explain the menu and quickly got a dish re-made when we felt the lamb was over cooked.... More

New Year's Eve meal: expensive, poor service, poor meal. Although they replaced mine and the fish was far better than the beef, but the evening was spoilt. Added 12.5% service charge without checking it was OK to do so. My bag was not supervised in the cloakroom and anyone could have walked away with it. The singer was great. sept... More

This was our second time at The Gilbert Scott. It was lunch time and we were interested in a light bite and refreshment. We were well-dressed, we didn't have a reservation for this bar which was more than 50% empty. There were three of us. We were seated in a squeezed in space to the side. There were a couple... More

I have visited this restaurant numerous times since it opened, most recently last night. The decor is simply stunning, part of the brilliant and inspired refurbishement of the old St Pancras Hotel. The staff, too, have been consistently pleasant and attentive ever since it opened. However, the food was always in the good rather than excellent category and to judge... More

Stunning building inside and out. We were early but it did not matter, the staff were lovely and settled us down in the bar for a drink. The waiter even suggested a different version of the wine and brought a glass for us to try! We moved on into the restaurant and were slightly disappointed that we were seated (in... More

I ate here on a busy Saturday evening with friends; I have been before on a quiet weekday lunchtime, enjoyed it, and wanted to show my friends the lovely building, and to try the cocktails in the bar. The bar is beautifully restored. At 8pm it was very busy, and a little noisy. The cocktail menu is extensive, but my... More
