Drinks are extortionate but the views are amazing! Worth buying one cocktail and taking in the views of London, though it can be a bit breezy up there.

I have been to this place a few times and it never fails to disappoint. The service is truly terrible in the Sky lounge bar. Picture this: Saturday, early evening with lots of people inside the bar and out on the terrace. We wait 15 minutes for someone to come and service, but no one arrives. I go to the... More

Great bar in a fantastic hotel. Roof top terrace perfect for drinking in the light evenings and good weather. Bar food available too. Gets very busy and drink aren't the cheapest. Lovely staff and a good atmosphere. Good London Skyline views.

felt that the indoor space was a little stuck up and staged. But the outdoor deck in the sun was amazing. the food was excellent and it would encourage me to stay at this hotel again.

Great views but our high tea food was terrible! Scones and cakes were stale and the service was nonchalant and very careless. We were not impressed at all and it was not worth the money (£30 per person).

Visited the Skylounge and found the 14th Floor quite "cold". The service was slow, with only three people serving drinks at the bar on a Saturday around 18:30. There seemed to be a variety of seating areas, but it was not clear where you could sit and what was for private booking, so you would head off to an area,... More

For a summer lunch the location doesn't get much better. However, we found the service extremely slow and required prompting all the time when the restaurant wasn't even busy. When the food came it was utterly tasteless. The staff was friendly enough but a bit vacant. The wheel was going round but the hamster was long gone... It left me feeling... More

The view from the Skylounge is great, but the drinks are expensive, and the staff is not that friendly. However, the drinks were made well, and the view made it all worthwhile.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
