Great views and tasty salads!

We came for lunch on a Saturday so it was quite busy. Service is average but the view makes up for it along with the tasty selection of salads that they serve. Best salads I've had in awhile and make sure you order the Parmesan fries as a naughty side!

Visited for a couple of bottles of champagne before going out. Glasses very dirty, but staff didn't notice. Slow service it took them 5 minutes and a reminder from us that our bottle was waiting at the bar. Took away a stool just because we weren't sitting in it. Staff were just walking around oblivious to any guests that were... More

Fantastic view, spacious and comfortable seating with a wide range of drinks at City hotel prices. Some areas reserved for private function but still, plenty of space.

I booked a short notice informal business lunch for group of 5 people at SkyLounge online on the day of our visit. We were seated outside on the terrace with fabulous views of the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the Shard, Cheesegrater, Gherkin etc etc. which impressed our guests from Mumbai. We ordered a selection of salad starters to share.... More

I visited last week at the start of the warm spell and was lucky enough to get a table outside for lunch. That's where anything positive ends. We waited twenty minutes for drinks; got told off by the waitress for ordering a drink ten minutes after the first and then waited 55 minutes for lunch! The food was mediocre -... More

Free entry on the 12th floor of the Doubletree by Hilton Tower Hill hotel. Fantastic, large roof terraces which do get busy especially in the evening & when the weather is good. But if you can't get outdoors you can still get plenty of seating in the lounge area inside, or just stood around inside the bar. Definitely worth a... More

We visited the bar as we were staying in the hotel below and we loved the views! Being open to the public we were hesitant on the kind of people you would have walking in and out of the hotel however we found it to be very trendy and classy! drinks are typical London priced but you can enjoy a... Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
