I have to admit that my main experience is with the shop. I have always found the staff very sweet and helpful, keen on providing information in a non snobby way and always willing to let the customer taste the cheese. The brie, when it's available, is just fabulous. There is a large selection of goat cheese ( from cradle... More

As someone freely obsessed with cheese and safe in knowing the un-shakeable truth that cheese, bread and red wine comprises one of life's most faultless meals, searching for a perfect fondue outside of Paris or err, the packet mixes that Waitrose sell (sounds dodgy but tastes pretty damn good!) has been one of my missions for some time now. Thankfully... More

Together with four friends (all Golden Girls) I had lunch at this delightful French restaurant and fine cheeses shop in Spitalfieds Market. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the staff most charming and efficient. It is called Androuet and it appeared that most if not all the staff were French. The owner, a very young man, made the... More

We booked a cheese cake for our wedding from Androuet. While in discussions on what to order, they would frequently not respond to any calls/emails. The day before our wedding, our venue told us that a substantial amount of our order had not been delivered. When I rang up to enquire, I was greeted with the rudest person ever. They... More

I've visited here twice and had lovely meals both times, washed down by great wine. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere- it's fun eating in a cheese shop. A must for all cheese lovers...

Oh! What a joy and a delight. Absolute cheese lovers heaven. If you like cheese, you must, must go to Androuet. As a party of four, we sampled the delights of two different cheese fondues, recommended by the host. The bread was unlimited and the choice of charcuterie was great. The lady in the restaurant suggested a Viognier to go... More

This is a very pleasant dining experience with friends, families, dates etc. The inside part of the restaurant is small but intimate and I would recommend booking. However, there is an outdoor dining area which is heated but I haven’t eaten out there yet – I may wait for summer. The décor inside is warm, modern, natural and elegant. Although... More

This restaurant is located within Spitalfields Old Market, so adjacent to clothing and bric-a-brac stalls. The cheese shop fronts the street and the restaurant the market. Inside the restaurant we sat on bar type stools at high tables; outside in the market area we could have sat at ordinary tables. Cheese features in all dishes : a thick green soup... More

I have been in this shop twice now. Both times the staff have totally ignored me. Even when I ask for assistance they just look the other way. Very limited selection of Cheese as well. I think twice is enough for me. There are plenty of other better places to buy Cheese in London.

Wow this place has some really fantastic cheeses for sampling! Everything I tried I thoroughly enjoyed and paired it with a great glass of wine as well. It's a gem in Spitafield and totally recommend it if you're in the area and a cheese lover.
