This a fantastic cheese shop that also has a small cafe attached which serves fabulous cheese plates, charcuterie (and other items). I want to come back for their cheese fondue. The cheese and charcuterie we had was very good. The staff were friendly and the ambiance is great. Note, they don't serve in the cafe Mon or Tue but they... More

You could easily walk past Androut, but don't! A deli and small restaurant, it has an amazing menu. The food is so full of flavour you feel like you could be in France. I will definitely be going back.

From the custom made birthday wine and cheese menu in April 2009 to present day, no other shop compares. Alex and Leo ooze passion and knowledge for their craft. I highly recommend a visit, your taste buds will thank you! Would you consider opening up on Vancouver Island??

I have visited this place on a winter afternoon just before Christmas. The served Gluhwine, offered blankets and heaters. Just like a holiday in the (French) alps. I loved it!

Authentic French atmosphere even though you are in the middle of commercial Spitalfields. Staff are great and the food is delicious!

Something out of the ordinary in Spitalfields market. Lovely fondue, charcuterie and cheeses. Service is excellent, with help and advice for novices. The fondue was easily big enough for two, and extra bread was supplied when we ran out. The mixed sliced meats were lovely, served with pickles, which made a snack into more of a meal. All in all,... Androuet has been my favourite restaurant in London since it opened, and has never failed to impress. However, I was a little disappointed this time, but hopefully the changes are only temporary, and we can look forward to the usual outstanding evenings we have had there in the past again soon. The food is still amazing, although more limited than... More

Staying in Spitalfields

Neighborhood Profile
Spitalfields
For a glimpse of Georgian and Victorian London at its most pristine, or a peek into what's apt to be the next big global trend, the hipster zone of Spitalfields can provide hours of amazement. Around the clock, this is a haven for early morning bargain hunters sizing up its street markets, foodie foragers throughout the day, or late night revelers hitting some of London's most popular bars and clubs.

Wedged between the business-minded City of London, expressly trendy Shoreditch, and zestful Whitechapel, the lines between traditional and contemporary beautifully blur in this historic East End nexus.
