Absolutely, charmingly unique, the Bellaria Restaurant and Wine Bar in Londons upmarket Fitzrovia is a must for those tiring of the same old dining experience. From street level, Bellaria is quite simple a pleasant, attractive Italian restaurant with an inviting atmosphere, bright and simple dcor and the best seats of the house undoubtedly by the wide windows where one can watch the world go by. However, a few steps below and guests are transported to a whole other world. Bellarias basement level truly is straight out of an ancient fairytale, its bare stone walls with their arches, nooks and crannies complemented by chandeliers and trickster mirrors, low lighting casting a moody glow. Its the ideal setting for romance and a real surprise to everyone who discovers it. Upmarket and sophisticated, the menu of the Bellaria Restaurant is very much in keeping with its very special ambience, making good use of Italys most coveted produce in well-presented and elegantly creative dishes ranging from pastas and risottos to steaks and fish. Though a number of excellent wines are available, we cant help but be tempted by Bellarias vast and exciting cocktail list.

Lovely meal; great service

This restaurant manages to combine an intimate traditional Italian atmosphere with really good food that is not too trapped by traditional Italian dishes. The king prawns were superb, as was the vegetarian mushroom dish. Great choice of wine with good advice from friendly staff.

The service was absolutely impeccable and the wine superb. The food was creatively composed and tasty but hugely overpriced. We went using a discount card though, which made it rather affordable, and therefore had an overall great experience.

Maybe it was our bad lack, but we were not impressed with this restaurant at all... The food was edible at its best, with rather average pasta and bruschetta. Tuna in 'mixed grill' was probably on the wrong side of its 'use by' date. The only positive we noted was rather good £18/bottle house wine. The food was very very... More

I had dinner in this restaurant and was fabolous. The food was wery tasty, the wine ok, pasta homemade and the dessert superb. The service was amazing, they have one girl-manager witch is gorgeus, she is very professional and charming. In the end the bill was ok for what we had, we will return for sure.

I took my family here on bank holiday weekend for an evening meal as it was my wife's birthday. I took advantage of the 50% off menu and saved about £45 on the night which I thought was excellent value. The discounted menu had ample choice and the portions were generous. My wife and I shared a mixed vegetable grill... More

The food was tasty and I thought the portion sizes were good, I couldn't finish my papardelle and I suspect it would have been enough for most men of my acquaintance! A meal for two came to £70 even with the Taste Card 50% off food - a couple of glasses of wine each, one starter between two, a main... More

I went to the restaurant with some work colleagues this evening and the overall experience was very average. It took ages to get a drink and we then had to ask for the food menus and share 3 between 6! We had to ask for everything and service was slow. Instead of getting bread while we were waiting for our... More

Used Open Table 50% deal, otherwise would be a little expensive. Good shared starter with cold meats and cheeses; then a salad. Both courses delicious - another time will try menu items requiring more input from the chef, but dining companion well satisfied with main course. Wine from a comprehensive list perfectly adequate. Can dine alfresco with infrared heaters. Will... More

Warm frendly restaurant. .with great staff. We had the scampi with home made pasta. .the meal was perfect..as we had the flu..nothing was too much trouble.. We had a side dish of green beans also just right.. The house red was fine. The expresso a bit down on creame but still fine. Will be back again. .
