Description: The newly refurbished Fox and Grapes has the intimacy and feel of a local...
The newly refurbished Fox and Grapes has the intimacy and feel of a local country village pub. Situated in the heart of the Common, it has the advantage of being on the doorstep of London, yet the tranquility of Wimbledon Village. The Fox and Grapes re-opened in 2011 with Claude Bosi, head chef of the two Michelin starred Hibiscus in Mayfair, and his brother Cedric at the helm. They built up the pub's reputation rapidly, and established the Fox & Grapes as one of Wimbledon's Hidden Gem's. Now Managed by Joe Hendriks & Head Chef Andrew Jones, both Norfolk boys have continued to strive for excellence in both food and service, while maintaining a relaxed pub character. As for the food, the Fox & Grapes sources as much seasonal and local produce as possible, with simple, well executed cooking. The menu features refined dishes with classic flavour combinations, as well as traditional pub favourites. Open for drinks throughout the day, the Fox and Grapes stocks a wide selection of Craft Beers, Ales & Largers. They can also boast an impressive wine selection, solely being supplied by Berry Brothers & Rudd. The Fox & Grapes is also host to three en-suite Double Bedrooms. With the perfect location, and steeped in character, you can enjoy everything this pub has to offer.

Perfect Sunday Roast!

7 of us visited the Fox and Grapes for Sunday lunch. This beautiful pub is the perfect venue for a meal after a walk on the common. We arrived quite late during the day. By then the choice of roast left was limited to beef and we all had the same dish. Our food was simply delicious, great quality... read more

From start to finish the fox and grape was a taste sensation! I started with a few light and delightful appetisers which were delicately put together. I then enjoyed the black pudding starter which was by far the best black pudding I have ever eaten (I will upload pictures). This was followed by the “Tongue and Cheek” main, which was... More

I had lunch here with three friends and, though the company meant I had a great time, I doubt I'll be returning. The service was very poor - I arrived first, nobody approached me and, when I grew tired of waiting and took a seat at the bar, though I was one of only two patrons, it took a good... More

have eaten here several times and was never disappointed. Great option if you are in Wimbledon for the tennis and wish to eat in a less crowded place. Do make a reservation though. Can recommend the venison, the pies and the beef.

I visited the Fox and Grapes last night and had an amazing evening. The food was fabulous and I cannot fault the service. I eat out a lot in London and can honestly say this was probably the best food I have tasted for ages. The chef should give himself a pat on the back because my family of six... More

Me and my family felt very welcome & relaxed as soon as we walked in. The service was brilliant and very friendly & the food was especially exceptional. Couldn't fault any of the courses or service. Will be visiting again soon.

Really enjoyed the food in the pub (and it is pub food), the bar area has a cosy feel if you can get sat at the bar but it's only got a few seats. However, the portions are tiny, the staff are disorganised and the place lacks atmosphere as it's too bright. I used to really like the place but... More

I ordered the bream with pearly barley and the artichoke soup. Both were delicious. My husband had the roast beef and he thought it was very good. They have a good choice of ales and lagers. Some of the waitresses were grumpy, but it was a very busy Sunday afternoon .Prices are what one would expect for a posh pub in this area.

Visited for lunch on Christmas Eve, 2 adults and 2 teen/pre-teens, one small dog. Menu is small but interesting. Not cheap but fairly priced for the quality of food. Booking is essential at busy times. We had mussels in cider, haddock and chips and pheasant, ham hock, leak and mushroom pie. All were very good. Service was friendly and efficient... More

We went on a Sunday night for dinner close to Christmas and we had a great evening. As always the food was lovely and the staff were friendly and attentive. There was a lot to chose from and all of our food from starters to pudding was very good (my wife loved the salmon starter and my ribeye steak was... More
