Despite the hotel being very average, I still Loved this hotel restaurant. Atomphere is great and service was very pleasing and smooth. Very impressed with the american steak dish! also had the pre-theatre menu once, very good value and nice food!

I've been to Watatsumi several times now - with my wife pre-theatre and post, with friends for a relaxing evening - and it never fails to please us and our guests. The atmosphere is excellent in an old banking hall but remains intimate despite the high ceilings. The menu has some dishes you'd expect and some pleasant surprises. Cocktails are... More

We've been twice in the past few weeks. Both times the sashimi and the sushi was excellent. The room is lovely with very high ceilings. The atmosphere is slightly ruined by the loud music being played. However, on the second visit they did turn it down(upon request) somewhat. The wine(Koshu Yamansi)is excellent. The only thing that lets this place down is... More

My wife and I visited Watatsumi after a long day of wandering around central London which culminated in a visit to the National Gallery. We decided we'd love to finish the day off with some sushi as it's our favourite cuisine. We spotted a place called Eat Tokyo just around the site of the museum, but there was a massive... More

We've been going to watasumi for over a year now and have seen the service and quality of food going down hill gradually. However, sadly tonight marked an all time low such that we were driven to share our experience. The calamari.. used to be amazing, tonight- beyond poor. The volcano roll used to be the best thing on the... More

My Mum and I went to Watatsumi for a pre theatre dinner as we were staying at the hotel next door. The restaurant inside is very nicely decorated, the room has original features of the building but with modern elements. It is in a brilliant location right at Trafalgar Square and seems to be the only sushi restaurant in the... More

This was our 4th visit to this excellent Japanese restaurant. They do a set price menu at certain times (check their web site or toptable.com) which is excellent value and also comes with a glass of wine. The service is very good and the food is very high quality. The main courses do not come with vegetables - just enjoy... More

When in London- GO HERE! The most incredible sushi I have had, ever. Their speciality is the 'Volcano Sushi' a delicious warm, battered sushi roll- do not order this to share- have it all to yourself. The staff are friendly and attentive, and great, industrial style atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Hi, we (three people) wanted to eat sushi during our stay in London. So we looked up good sushi restaurants here, on TripAdvisor and found this one. It had good ratings so we wanted to give it a try. We walked in to a modern styled, quiet and pleasent restaurant. Everything was clean and accurate. We had a Miso Soup... More

Had a pre-matinee lunch with a friend (we are both originally from Japan). She had beef bento and I sushi bento. Miso soup was served as the first course. This is never done in Japan, and while we are aware that they sometimes do that here in London, better Japanese restaurants would have asked us whether we wanted it with... More
