We booked High Tea here before our visit to the Apollo Theatre to watch Wicked and we were amazed at the high level of service and the delicious food we ordered. There was a choice of different set menus on offer. I chose the 2 courses for £17.50 a head. There were 4 of us so we ordered a selection... More

Went to the Grand Imperial for dinner with a friend and looking for a (hopefully) decent Chinese Restaurant near Victoria Station. We were eating quite late and the extra journey time to China Town something we wanted to avoid. The Grand Imperial is part of the Grosvenor Hotel and the setting is very pleasant albeit quite cavernous inside ( in... More

I won a dinner voucher at the Tower Hotel where I work. The voucher was for The Grand Imperial Restaurant. For me and my girlfriend this was one of the first times we had dinner in such a luxury restaurant. From the moment we walked in till we walked out, they looked after us very well. They service was perfect,... More

Visit Hotel Brasserie. Cheaper and service wise better. Food in Grand Imperial was Ok, but service was very changeable. Some staff members were professional, some really needed a good training.Food was average Chinese.

This used to be one of the best Dim Sum restaurants in London but a visit this weekend persuaded me otherwise. One of dishes was soggy and over-cooked and the other was so hard it was almost inedible. The main courses were just ordinary and lacking in taste. The food was really very average and terribly overpriced. The restaurant was... More

20 guest dined in the private room. From start to finish everything was perfect. The room was just the right size and the table layout was convivial for conversation. The table setting also looked great. The restaurant allowed us to customise our menu and each of the many courses were delicious and looked great too. The staff were truly exceptional.... More

Calm and dignity are the words that come to mind when recalling the high-ceilinged, marbled pillared dining room at the Grand Imperial in Grosvenor Hotel at Victoria station. The welcome is smiley, the tables prettily and formally laid, and the express lunch menu is great value. It attracts people of a certain age (up for a visit to town) and business... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
