Lupita for Mexican

There are lots of Mexican places in London, but it has to be said that Lupita is a notch above certain other chains. Food is tasty and freshly-prepared. Helpful and friendly staff who got us our food quickly when we explained we had to rush to the theatre.

Contrary to most places that call themselves Mexican in London, the food here is not Tex Mex or burritos and nachos. Quite the opposite! From the beginning, one knows it's going to be different, as the restaurant smells like Pastor meat, while latin music is sounding throughout the place. You can start with a Guacamole or a tortilla soup, wonderful... More

Really dissapointed. Nachos - hard, tasted stale and cold. And the same for the taco, tasted stale. Horrible meal. After looking for a mexican in central London we were really looking forward to it. Go somewhere else.

Went to Lupita on the way home from the theatre in Covent Garden as it is open late. Food is Mexican street food similar to Wahaca, quality and taste were good, although think Wahaca is better. Service was quick and friendly. Atmosphere lively with lots of groups as well as couples. Great for a quick meal and would go back!

We partied in here one night by chance! We arrived about 7 on a Saturday night and got the last table downstairs. If I went again, which I will, I would book a table upstairs - seemed to have lots more atmosphere. We drank two jugs of margaritas and ate….. well I really want to tell you about the food... More

And now I love Lupita Restaurant as well. I've had some great Mexican meals in my time, but none more enjoyable or tastier than I had here.

As many of the reviews state, the food was disappointing, the portions meagre, and the menu overpriced. In fact, I have never had such uninspiring tortilla chips or salsa. But the real reason for my complaint is the shocking state of the loos: filthy, worn, dark and dingy, with loo roll strewn about the slippery floors - worse than any... More

This place is a gem. It's a Fast paced restaurant which normally isn't up my street. However this one was perfect. We were sat and ordered drinks and starters. When our nachos were cleared we ordered our main and only had to wait about 7 minutes. Super speedy. We had Tacos and Burritos and they were delicious! Great service from... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
