Description: London's most authentic Mexican taquería. The same tastes, ingredients...
London's most authentic Mexican taquería. The same tastes, ingredients, flavors and smells found in Mexico City. As one of the most popular restaurants providing authentic Mexico City cuisine in London, the chefs at Lupita pride themselves on the authenticity of their dishes. Choosing to use only fresh, flavoursome ingredients to create exciting and tastebud tingling dishes, the menus at Lupita are a true reflection of the incredible flavours, colours and smells found throughout Mexico. In September 2012, Zagat, the worldwide ratings and reviews website for restaurants, released their London 2012 survey results announcing that Lupita had made the top five Mexican restaurants in the city.Enjoy a wide range of dishes from tacos, tostadas, quesadillas and enchiladas to salads, soups and totopos (traditional homemade tortilla chips) before washing it all down with one of Lupita’s much loved margaritas (made with 100% agave tequila). The team at Lupita are also proud to offer diners the opportunity to taste some of Mexico’s hard-to-find beers including Pacifico, Modelo Especial and Negra Modelo as well as a variety of Mexican, South American and Spanish wines.

Margarita's are v good. staff and service is good. However, our food was very average. I found the portions v small but tasty. Probably one step up from a tacky bell! Not quite sure what the rest of the reviews are raving about?

Cute little place with a wide variety of vegetarian options, which were much appreciated by my partner. Not the best Mexican food I've eaten in London but well-priced with with very good margaritas too.

Looked very busy through the window, but quite spacious, including downstairs. Set menu or a la carte. Lots of variants on the usual, a brilliant beans and pork soup. Nice salads with tasty coriander dressing. Mains are big enough to satisfy yet leave space for chocolate churros! Staff rushed but smiling and helpful, eg how hot did we want each dish?... More

The food here really is very good. They come to the table and make Guacomole for you at your table and its the tastiest ever! Service was very friendly and attentive. Didn't get any complaints about any dishes we ordered. Overall a lovely place.

Took some colleagues for lunch. Waiters are very friendly. Very busy restaurant. Novel buttons on tables to call staff and ask for the bill. Very nice Mexican food. Especially liked the grilled cheese and guacamole starter. Would visit again.

Nice setting with a good buzz but tables not too close together. The food was excellent and the chocolate cake divine, especially with their delicious coffee. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. A really good eating experience that I would certainly do again whether for 2 or 20!

I really like this place, always busy and the smell when you walk is great. A good range of choice and beer. Not the cheapest but location is great and I like it ! You also get a cool button to call for service, one click and the server arrives in seconds.... a fast way to get a second beer... More

Surprised by the rave reviews of this place. Started off pretty poorly as despite the front of house taking names on a clipboard several people were seated before us in places where we could have easily been sat (we ended up sat next to a guy on his own at a table for two who came in about 10 minutes... Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
