Decent curry

Decent curry place at good prices. The drinks are good. The atmosphere is pleasant. The service is ok, somewhat slow. If you want Indian food, you could certainly do worse.

I was visting London for a weekendtrip and live in Germany, where you have absolutely no good Indian restaurant. We decided to visit Masala zone upon a recommendation from a Indian friend. The restaurant is very trendy with a modern interior, so do not worry it won't be fancy enough for a nice dinner. The waiters are all very friendly... More

My favourite thing about Masala Zone is the Thali where you get to sample loads of Indian flavours on one platter. Think of it as the Indian version of tapas, which they claim to be a more authentic way of eating curry. All sides are set, you just choose your curry. I'm a sucker for the butter chicken, but the... We had an excellent Saturday lunch at Masala Zone last week. I haven't been there for a few years and I think it has got even better in the meantime. The staff were excellent, swooping on the kids with colouring pencils and things to do within seconds of arriving and ensuring that their food arrived first. We were pleasantly surprised... More

We had an early evening meal with 2 kids. The prices are fantastic - the children's meals were £4.20 for a good sized main & pudding. The waiter explained the menu made and some recommendations. The grand Thali was excellent and the pistachio kulfi really rich & delicious. My only complaint is that not all of the food was piping... More

Early evening, so no need to queue and tables with space, so we didn't have to share our conversation with the next table. The service was friendly and the curries were very tasty; my lamb was beautifully tender. Just the right amount of spice without blowing our heads off, although they do have hot curries for those who like them.... More

Having previously visited the Masala Zone in Covent Garden, I decided to try out the Soho version as a few of us were meeting in London for a day out. The review falls into a few categories. Firstly, I must admit I was a bit underwhelmed when walking into the restaurant, compared to the Covent Garden one. It was somewhat... More

I have been here on s valentine day and, although very busy they managed to find a table for us. Everything was simply flawless from the beginning to the end. The staff was nice and willing to offer help in choosing the dishes. The food was so tasty and good. We were at the end very satisfied. I will definitely... More

I have been visiting Masala zone for several years now. The food and the service has always been excellent which is probably why I have never stopped dining here. The staff is very welcoming and attentive no matter how busy the restaurant is. I have to say over the years one manager who has always been managing Soho branch with... More

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
