A Good Place to enjoy excellent Indian Food

Having eaten at Masala Zones (but not this one) before, we knew what to expect, and, as usual, we chose the Grand Thali which allows one to choose your preferred Curry along with a good range of side dishes. Masala Zone Soho did not disappoint on the food zone, though it doesn't offer the colourful... read more

Awesome food- amazing indian and the menu clarifies everything for you, so you know what you're eating. Friendly staff- the staff was super friendly and attentive to us. My waitress also explained some of the foods for me too, and let me know what was/wasn't spicy. Really good atmosphere in general! Would definitely return to Masala when I return to... More

I had to keep going to this place for business reasons, but I think it is one of the most dangerous restaurants in London an it should be shut. I don't like fresh coriander and when I eat it I have tummy problems. No matter what I do when I go to this restaurant they always put it into everything,... More

First visit for a long time, after we gave up on lukewarm food and service. The Soho branch is in a 70s concrete monstrosity, and the interior does have a sort of retro austerity about it. Squeezed into a table with fixed benches - anyone more portly than I simply wouldn't fit in the miserly space allowed. We chose starters,... More

Decent curry place at good prices. The drinks are good. The atmosphere is pleasant. The service is ok, somewhat slow. If you want Indian food, you could certainly do worse.

I was visting London for a weekendtrip and live in Germany, where you have absolutely no good Indian restaurant. We decided to visit Masala zone upon a recommendation from a Indian friend. The restaurant is very trendy with a modern interior, so do not worry it won't be fancy enough for a nice dinner. The waiters are all very friendly... More

My favourite thing about Masala Zone is the Thali where you get to sample loads of Indian flavours on one platter. Think of it as the Indian version of tapas, which they claim to be a more authentic way of eating curry. All sides are set, you just choose your curry. I'm a sucker for the butter chicken, but the... We had an excellent Saturday lunch at Masala Zone last week. I haven't been there for a few years and I think it has got even better in the meantime. The staff were excellent, swooping on the kids with colouring pencils and things to do within seconds of arriving and ensuring that their food arrived first. We were pleasantly surprised... More

We had an early evening meal with 2 kids. The prices are fantastic - the children's meals were £4.20 for a good sized main & pudding. The waiter explained the menu made and some recommendations. The grand Thali was excellent and the pistachio kulfi really rich & delicious. My only complaint is that not all of the food was piping... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
