Good choice!

Fantastic restaurant with panorama-windows to busy London. Good choice of food, great service, and not overlypriced. Would recommend!

We had been to see Alice's Adventures Underground earlier on in the day so made use of the 2for1 afternoon tea offer. I thought it was lovely. Beautiful sunny room (had to pull blinds down at one point :P), pretty crockery and amazing cakes. Sandwiches were okay, but I'm all about the cakes anyway. Our waitress was lovely and helpful.... The Tea is set in the impressive Amba Hotel at Charing Cross station with seating located on the Terrace, which, although in a sunny disposition had rows of tables situated quite close together. It did create some ambience but you could hear next table's conversation! We started with a complimentary blue gin cocktail which looked more exciting than it tasted... More

Our family of four came to the hotel's Terrace Restaurant today for afternoon tea to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I chose this venue largely based on the excellent Trip Advisor reviews, particularly as the reviews of staff members seemed so positive. On arrival I asked two concierge staff at the front desk where the Restaurant was. One gave me the... More

I mean no more than that. There was nothing very special about it except the room is lovely. Food was fine, service was friendly but extremely slow ... there was only one other table eating while we were there so can't imagine what the problem was. Everyone seemed to be going in slow motion. The burger I got was fine,... More

Good food and very attentive service. Sat outside in lovely summer weather. Most pleasant spot and quiet street - even on a Saturday evening. A friend (who we texted) joined us to make five and the restaurant dealt with it very well even though she only had a glass of wine and a pudding.

A good range of cocktails at very reasonable prices. Ambience is OK although nothing special, but all-in-all very pleasant

Wow this was an amazing experience. I'm not sure I've been anywhere where the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Amazing team of people. The afternoon was tea was so delicious, the welcome cocktail was great and what a beautiful presentation. It was my first visit but will definitely come back and keep my eye out for future events here,... More

We recently went to see "Alice Adventures Underground" at the Vaults in Waterloo. They were offering a special 2 for 1 offer on an Alice inspired Afternoon Tea, so we thought we woukd go for it. It was so lovely. The Terrace itself is full of natural daylight and a very relaxing place to be. We received a teapot containing... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
