Dinner with wife and with friends visiting from Australia

Good food and very attentive service. Sat outside in lovely summer weather. Most pleasant spot and quiet street - even on a Saturday evening. A friend (who we texted) joined us to make five and the restaurant dealt with it very well even though she only had a glass of wine and a pudding.

I like the design of the terrace at the 1st Floor of Charing Cross Hotel where you can view Trafalgar Square. Breakfast is excellent .

I mean no more than that. There was nothing very special about it except the room is lovely. Food was fine, service was friendly but extremely slow ... there was only one other table eating while we were there so can't imagine what the problem was. Everyone seemed to be going in slow motion. The burger I got was fine,... More

A good range of cocktails at very reasonable prices. Ambience is OK although nothing special, but all-in-all very pleasant

The afternoon was tea was so delicious, the welcome cocktail was great and what a beautiful presentation. We recently went to see "Alice Adventures Underground" at the Vaults in Waterloo. They were offering a special 2 for 1 offer on an Alice inspired Afternoon Tea, so we thought we woukd go for it. It was so lovely. The Terrace itself is full of natural daylight and a very relaxing place to be. We received a teapot containing... More

The staff at the restaurant, are friendly, and are very eager to please and help. Look out for Cyan, she is a wonderfully, bubbly lady, she made us feel welcome, and willingly engaged in conversation with us

I thought my £13 sandwich was very nice but a tad expensive! My husband's seabass was lovely &"reasonably priced" Could've done with a few brighter lights(at my age I like to see what I'm eating!) but the staff were very attentive and it was a pleasant evening

My partner and I needed to dine before a concert near to Charring Cross and pre-booked The Terrace. We were looking for a good meal without fuss and minimum delay and we hit the jackpot. The ambiance was good supported by a sparkling table layout and a light airy feel to the establishment. The menu was limited but provided adequate... More

On Sunday, I surprised my husband for our 2nd wedding anniversary by booking a table at The Terrace restaurant in the Amba Hotel in Charing Cross. We arrived earlier than the time that I had booked and a lovely lady in Reception came upstairs to ask if we could eat earlier. We were given a table by the window, as... More
