What a shame! The food was great but the service was absolutely atrocious. What an absolute put off! We were served by a young lady who ignored us the majority of the time. We had booked a table through table pouncer and got a deal giving 50% off on the food, could this be why we were treated this way?... More

Went on a quiet Thursday, a small selection on the menu. But the food was fabulous, tasty, filling and wonderful presentation. Marvellous variety of drinks, such different beverages I've never had before, quite a few where trailed. The staff were excellent, fun, friendly and made it a wonderful experience.

Nice updated pub food in a very cool part of the city. Worth a trip, in my view. We had the fish and chips, cod, and mushroom burger, and all were solidly better than average. The Eaton mess was great. They also have a small but adequate kids menu -- the menus are on line, btw at http://cliftonstjohnswood.com/menus/main-menu. Overall, I... More

One of our local pubs. Nice décor in a lovely setting with a pretty outside garden area. This place has changed managers a few times in the last few years and sadly the food has deteriorated. You couldn't fault their steak Onglase and we enjoyed their Mussels night...but not the case any more. I think they still run half price... More

My wife and I love the exterior of this pub. It is one of the best places to sit outside and enjoy a drink. It's tucked away in a cozy neighborhood which gives it a friendly feeling. The drink selection is good. They have some decent beers on daught. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. It was the worst meal I... More

If I'm honest, I was a little disappointed if only because my expectations were probably too high. We went for Sunday lunch and the food was fine but the selection was a little limited. One of my pet hates is when you go somewhere with a limited menu; that you still find some things are not available. Maybe it is... More

Great beer, lovely quiet atmosphere and proper pub grub. I've been to this pub a few times while working in London. It never has disappointed. Ticks my first box, proper beer. Friendly staff. I've only eaten here once and it was magnficent sunday roast with real homemade gravy. It's a hidden gem.

My husband and I came to London for our daughters engagement. They had booked a table at the Clifton. What a super place, great food and lovely waitress. I can thoroughly recommend the whole black bream, it was delicious.

Good drink, bad food, slow service. Out of several menu items the night we visited. Very loud patrons at the tables around us - difficult to have a real conversation. Wouldn't go back.
