We went to this restaurant because of a birthday voucher bought on the Internet. The food was pleasant enough. Service was very good, the atmosphere was marred slightly by some repetitive sounding modern music. I only noticed as I thought that the track had stuck. Didn't spoil the meal. As a whole experience it isn't better than some of our... More

We ate here for our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately for the venue, we visited at the end of a sunny day, so it was a bit of a shock going into the rather gloomy restaurant, but that's hardly their fault. the food was pretty good (so it should be at that price) BUT I made it very clear that I have... It was my first trip here..., but I'd heard lots of good things so it had a lot to live up to. Of course, it did! On arrival, we were shown to the bar where we ordered drinks and waited for the rest of our party to arrive. Great wine list - but its far from cheap....!!!!! As there were... More

Very Disappointed in the standard of the waiting staff and service. The food was a total disappoiment!Dishes described wonderful on the menu, but obviously the Chefs in the kitchen couldnt execute them. If the hotel uses, and Marco allows, Marco Pierre White's name as a marketing point, then, they and Marco, should make sure that the customers are getting a certain... More

Tried to visit last week. The restaurant is closed, and has a sign on the door saying closed indefinitely for renovations.

This was supposed to be a joyous celebration of my recent engagement. When we got there the place was pretty empty, and after my experience I know why. When ordering our starters you had run out of two things we wanted to order – not the best start. When ordering our mains everything seemed fine – until we were told... More

After reading some of the other reviews I was slightly dubious about our visit. Especially since we had booked through a Living Social deal. However, we had a really enjoyable meal. The food was delicious , our steaks were all cooked exactly how we wanted, and the staff were very attentive. The only downside, and the reason it didn't get... More

We ate very early, and for a while were the only clients. Eventually two more theatre going couples joined us, so we were rattling around in a big space., the six of us. The enormous downstairs room is clearly rarely used, but one must pass it on the way to the loos, and, additionally, some artworks of a rather racy... More

It lacked sole and was nothing like a chip off the old block. Service was a little raw. Atmosphere definitely off the bone. Nett value; simply disappointing.

We took friends to Wheelers last Saturday evening for a special dinner. We had been on a previous occasion which we thoroughly enjoyed. This time, however, it was completely different. A major letdown. Service was good but the food quite frankly was awful. Battered fish & chips very greasy & poor. My ribeye was tasteless and tough. One friend's well... More
