Small and expensive with good food

Restaurant is located in the hotel, just off bond street. Very small restaurant with limited seating. But apart from that the service and food are very good. Quite pricey also. Decor is okay.

Lunch for two, one customer veggie, 6 veggie nigiri, one tofu, one miso, 2 teas. 12 mixed fish nigiris /one yellow tail carpaccio/2 sake caraffes 180ml. The bill was over 150£. Very high quality, but for this price You can have UMU Japanese restaurant, couple of blocks away. No Way!

Hungry from a day of shopping on Oxford and Bond Streets, we saw Tsukiji and decided to try it. After all, the restaurant shares its name with the famous fish market in Tokyo (which is a hoot, if you get the chance to visit). Yes, it's expensive, and yes, it was worth every penny/pence. We had one chirashi and one... More

Had lunch here. The restaurant is really small, you need a reservation, otherwise there's place only at the counter. I had some deep fried soft shell crab as a starter and then some grilled black cod marinated in sweet miso sauce. Both courses tasted excellent! As a desert I had some vanilla cheese cake with yuzu glaze. Also excellent. Service... More

This is tiny restaurant with authentic sushi and attentive service. It feels like private room. It looks awkward that western girls are wearing proper kimono. They used to have oriental waitresses in the past. Restaurant provides good value for lunch but is very expensive for the dinner. Two sushi platters and one duck meal with non alcoholic drinks set us... More

My chums had wanted to dine at a similar restaurant in Mayfair but I wanted to dine here-A really good experience with excellent service, sublime food and the plum wine, fantastic-highly recommended and nice staff

Great Sushis. Price are quite demanding. Service can be great or average, but in general offers a good service. Food pales when compared to Kiku a stone throw away. You won't be disappointed if you look for a Japanese and are in Central London.

i admit i am a sushi snob but i really enjoy great (fresh) sushi. This was average. I asked how fresh the fish was and told it was only a day old, it did not taste a day old but tasted more like 5-7 days in a refrigerator

I had my late lunch there today, the food is really amazing! However, the waitress just chatted and a little bit bad face. I think it's not a very Japanese restaurant because the service sucks. Be honest, there's the other good value and traditional Japanese restaurants in London. You don't have to choose this one.

The slightly small sushi place attached to the Westbury Hotel in Conduit Street (just off Regent St) makes an excellent place for a high end business lunch. We had the set menu and it was beautifully fresh and well presented. The staff had style if a little slow to offer me top up on my champagne. The place is outstanding... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
