great food but very expensive

This is tiny restaurant with authentic sushi and attentive service. It feels like private room. It looks awkward that western girls are wearing proper kimono. They used to have oriental waitresses in the past. Restaurant provides good value for lunch but is very expensive for the dinner. Two sushi... read more

My chums had wanted to dine at a similar restaurant in Mayfair but I wanted to dine here-A really good experience with excellent service, sublime food and the plum wine, fantastic-highly recommended and nice staff

Great Sushis. Price are quite demanding. Service can be great or average, but in general offers a good service. Food pales when compared to Kiku a stone throw away. You won't be disappointed if you look for a Japanese and are in Central London.

i admit i am a sushi snob but i really enjoy great (fresh) sushi. This was average. I asked how fresh the fish was and told it was only a day old, it did not taste a day old but tasted more like 5-7 days in a refrigerator

I had my late lunch there today, the food is really amazing! However, the waitress just chatted and a little bit bad face. I think it's not a very Japanese restaurant because the service sucks. Be honest, there's the other good value and traditional Japanese restaurants in London. You don't have to choose this one.

The slightly small sushi place attached to the Westbury Hotel in Conduit Street (just off Regent St) makes an excellent place for a high end business lunch. We had the set menu and it was beautifully fresh and well presented. The staff had style if a little slow to offer me top up on my champagne. The place is outstanding... More

Food was amazing. We had a really good chat with the chef as we were sat at the bench. The waiting staff seemed a bit rushed and would push plates along while we were still eating from them to make room for more but overall we would highly recommend for the quality of the food and knowledge of the chef... I've tried a lots of Japanese restaurants in London and all over world, and for me this one is the best in London. We've tried it without any expectation. Our hotel receptionist reccomended it to us, and we said OK, let's try, even taught I never expect a lot from a hotel restaurant, but this one is a real gem.... More

Very much enjoyed the sushi set lunch - there are a variety of set menus. Restaurant is small, but nicely decorated and has big windows so you can watch the world go by. Just a shame that the serving staff could not manage a smile.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
