Great food, average service

I had mixed feelings about this place - the food is incredible and definitely worth a visit, very authentic. We had the spring rolls and prawns for starters and they were huge! The green thai curry for main is straight out of Thailand and the Jungle curry was great, as was the sticky rice and the... read more

I went to Rosa's on a Friday night and ate the venison red curry with coconut rice. I absolutely love venison so I was keen to try a Thai twist, even if the price - £12 - seemed a little on the high side. Really, I was quite disappointed. The meat was tough and didn't taste particularly gamey. The rest... More

We first stumbled across Rosa's in Chelsea recently and really enjoyed the quality of the food and service. I took my daughter to the Soho branch and found the same friendly service and authentic food. We shared a squid starter and daughter had Mussaman Lamb curry and I had spicy stir fried seafood and we shared an egg fried rice.... More

The tables are indeed very close to each other but the girls who served us were lovely - would recommend the hot chicken basil stir fry , and the red chicken thick coconut curry (chicken pieces are biggish but the curry is yum). Didn't enjoy my pad thai too much although it was okay when I put some of the... More

Me and my husband went to Rosa's yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We got there and it was very busy which we thought was a good sign. Having previously dined at Rosa's and thoroughly enjoyed it we were looking forward to the meal. The starters took a while to come. I'm afraid to say the food was just not... More

Rosa's has good Thai food, that isn't too spicy. The Dean street location is quite small, so prepare to wait or come early.

The setting is fine: a workaday Thai restaurant and the menu is extensive, but the for not brilliantly cooked and overall a slightly underwhelming experience

You will walk past this place a 100 times and never think of going in. It is at the bottom end of Dean Street, just off Old Compton Street and look like a cafe from the outside. However, it serves up a great variety of authentic Thai food for (especially bearing in mind this is Soho) a very reasonable price.... More

Eaten here several times over 5 years or so. Originally was a simple and intimate little restaurant with excellent food and service. But over the years, it has suffered from being too good, to the point that the service has deteriorated hugely, some of the ambience has gone, and the prices have increased a lot. On my latest visit yesterday,... More

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
