Good curries - great flavours

We were going here anyway, but allowed the guy out the front touting for business to offer us his "best deal" which was 20% discount and no corkage, as he spotted our byo wine. We had two curries between three of us, with rice, pappadams and chutneys. The serving sizes were good, meals were fresh... read more

Booked a table and then had to wait an hour and a half for the table to be ready, what's the point of booking I asked? Offered a free complementary drink but the waitress at the bar just made you feel stupid when you asked when the table would be ready. Plus the toilets were dirty and covered in toilet... More

I will say before I start we were half an hour late for our table and we took a while to order. The staff were a bit short with us because of this which is understandable to a degree. The curry was very tasty but not big portions but I guess that's London for you. We asked for tap water... More

me and my friends dined at this restaurant on 10/05/2015, and we thought the food was absolutely exquisite. the authentic taste was a delight to our taste buds. the aroma was amazing,. we were particularly pleased that the chef was able to cater to our idiosyncratic taste buds and willing to offer his unique touches to spice up the food.... Very good food and service. Gave us a nice 20 per cent discount. Went on a Friday nite and the whole street was buzzing with people and restauranteurs encouraging everyone to come to their establishment. The 9 of us had a great time and were allowed to byo with no corkage.

A group of us had lunch here recently and all thought it was very good. The food was freshly cooked and flavoursome and the service was excellent. Would happily go there again. Good value for money. We took our own wine which they happily stored in their fridge until wanted.

One of the worst dining experiences I have had! Went for the king prawn starter which was a joke, mine arrived and consisted of three small prawns and a poor excuse for a salad, my girlfriend only had two prawns with hers! When the issue was raised with staff they were rude and defensive and believed it was a reasonably... More

The food was fairly good tasting, although far too oily. Overall not bad, but the staff could be a little more polite.

I think the Cinnamon is a pretty average restaurant, not sure how they have managed to achieve the Trip Adviser awards! I am sure the Northern restaurants would have the edge on them with the flavours etc. Take that aside the food was ok but just ok! The service was good except when they screwed up on the final bill,... More

Staying in Spitalfields

Neighborhood Profile
Spitalfields
For a glimpse of Georgian and Victorian London at its most pristine, or a peek into what's apt to be the next big global trend, the hipster zone of Spitalfields can provide hours of amazement. Around the clock, this is a haven for early morning bargain hunters sizing up its street markets, foodie foragers throughout the day, or late night revelers hitting some of London's most popular bars and clubs.

Wedged between the business-minded City of London, expressly trendy Shoreditch, and zestful Whitechapel, the lines between traditional and contemporary beautifully blur in this historic East End nexus.
