Very good food with a nice, friendly atmosphere. Pricey for Americans as are most restaurants in London!

First things first, we had a very enjoyable meal here. Good choices on the menu, everyone was pleased with their meals, I would say the quality was incredibily fresh and executed better than most, and the service was good. But there is a "but". Definitely not a cheap meal, especially given the size of the portions. Quality over quantity perhaps,... More

Even by Central London's standards, this was expensive. The quality was average, the conditions cramped and uncomfortable, although service was prompt and friendly (except bizarrely, for drinks' orders). It's as easy to enjoy similar quality Italian food for under half the price in other nearby restaurants.

Came across this by accident. We were out on a busy saturday night just walking. Tried a few olaces and they turned us away with no reservations. This place was half empty - i suspect because they didnt have a patio on a warm london evening. So we waltzed in - what a surprise. Service was very welcoming. Ambience was... More

Close to Oxford Circus yet, to its regulars, has an ambience more like that of a favourite local Italian restaurant. Used to be frequented by old business colleagues, although I hadn't been for a while. Still excellent and the staff still do their best to make you feel at home. Food is just simple, and very well prepared and presented.... More

This is my favourite restaurant in London. I eat out 4-5 times a week and you can't beat Vascos for a lunch. Always busy, yet it feels like you have all the time in the world. Simple food, utterly marvellous.

Very good food, charming and attentive service, good atmosphere. Can't give 5 stars for food as one of us wasn't entirely happy with the fish, but otherwise no complaints. Better menu than the website suggest. A great find.

We love the Palladium so with Vasco & Piero on its doorstep, it’s an area of London we cannot be without. This was our third visit in the past 18 months and, once again, it did not disappoint. After a couple of bellinis and a large malt whisky, I started with spagettini prawns followed by seabass; my wife had avocado... More

Booked via OpenTable. This family-run place rotates the menu based on what is freshest. The chatty owner made his way around to all of the patrons to ensure everyone was happy. He is quick to share his food philosophy, and was kind enough to bring me a taste of the octopus bruschetta which they had just run out of (delicious).... More
