Umbrian cuisine which never fails to please

We eat here less than once a year, but when we do we say we must come back again soon. We ate here on a Friday evening and by 8pm the place was full. The menu varies daily, which is nice. It's beautiful simple Umbrian food expertly cooked. We had a pasta starter and a tricolore salad to start... read more

Had a business lunch here as it's convenient to the office. Hadn't been for some time and great to see the new decor that has really improved the place. Great menu with lots to choose from, for staters we all chose different dishes so there was calamari, tricolour salad and cured ham with melon. No complaints from any of us!... More

Poland Street has a choice of perhaps 15 restaurants most, if not all, of them younger than V&P's which has been in business since the early 1970s and on this site since the late 1980s. The room is quite small and the tables and chairs are close together but beautifully designed and comfortable. We had the set menu and a... More

We ate here with friends we hadn't seen for a while and picked the restaurant as it looked lovely, and the food reviews seemed pretty good. It wasn't either. Firstly, we were sat at a tiny, cramped table 4 inches from our neighbours table. We asked to be moved to a far more spacious table that was vacant to be... More

My fiancé and I had dinner here last week, after reading some fantastic reviews online. We were not disappointed! It's often hard to find anything decent to eat in central London and it's almost impossible to find anything that is a reasonable price but that's not the case here. Vasco and Pieros's exceeded all of our expectations and I can't... More

We came here for dinner on a Sat night. The food was OK overall, the vongolle was disappointing. It was also expensive for the quality of food. We would not return.

I have been there a few times as it is a short walk from my workplace.Never been disappointed.I do not consider it that overpriced given the quality and the position. I wiil recommend it especially the homemade tagliatelle with umbrian ragu.

Very friendly staff. The place is quite small, and the tables are also pretty tiny, but that's the sort of place it is. The food was good, nothing exciting, but I don't think they are selling themselves as that. Worth a go.

This is a nice restaurant newly refurbished just off Oxford Street. Serves decent Italian food that is overpriced, no doubt. Calves liver, with potatoes £26 In my view this is wow factor prices and it doesn't deliver.

I have been to this restaurant twice now. Once in the private dining area and again with friends last week (mid week). I came back based on the first experience I had in the private dining room where I really enjoyed the food and the service was impressive. The second time around the welcome from the staff was just as... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
