A decent steak is 32 quid nothing (at all) included; you can find the same or better elsewhere. You pay for lots of waitstaff, nice view, and the name. For a Jamie experience splash out and go here; if you don't need that find better in plenty other spots!

Jamie Oliver's Barbecoa restaurant lives up to every single expectation and more. I started with a Fleur Royal Prosecco cocktail - delicious if you've got a sweet tooth, while my partner had a specialised beer, Siberia Saison, which was nice and malty. We started with the Scallop Ceviche and Crispy Pig Cheeks which were both amazing flavours dancing on our... More

I recently joined some friends for dinner here and we had a lovely meal. The restaurant staff are pleasant, although the bar staff could be a little more attentive. For starters we had the ribs and squid, both were delicious. For mains we had the pulled pork, rib eye steak and burger, plus sides (which are not included). All the... More

Visited Barbecoa with my husband, as a birthday treat. After a mix up with the maître'd when we arrived, we were shown to a nice table overlooking St. Paul's Cathedral. The table was intimate, which we liked, but the noise in and around the restaurant did not match the expectation of intimacy. This restaurant is not for the romantic, which... More

I've been wanting to visit Barbecoa for quite some time but had been ever so slightly concerned about the mixed reviews. The 'reception' staff were very polite and made us feel welcome, the restaurant itself is a bit on the dark and noisy side but this is the case with many London restaurants. The serving staff were very prompt and... More

The brilliant service just about won me over. The portions were small and aside from the pulled pork, not exhibiting a huge amount of flavour. Expected more. However, service was attentive, smart and fun. My real complaint was the seating arrangements, had booked dinner early to ensure that we had a table overlooking St Pauls. Placed us in an empty... We had a great meal at Barbecoa, when I booked I stated it was for my daughters 16th birthday meal and when we arrived they made a fuss of my daughter even having a "Happy 16th Birthday" message written in chocolate on her desert board. The food was exceptional, the steak was cooked to perfection, the atmosphere was vibrant (19.00)... More

Had wanted to visit for ages, but unfortunately left feeling a bit miffed. You can get seats here with great views of st pauls or the kitchen, or you can get seats in areas that feel miles away from the rest of the restaurant. Food was average, my opinion was the steaks were overpoweringly smokey, and to charge for sides/sauces... More

During our first visit to London we made reservations to celebrate my birthday in this super hip Jamie Oliver restaurant. We arrived after a long touring day and didn't quite fit the look and atmosphere but the staff made us feel very comfortable and were most friendly. We had assistance from the lovely waitress regarding the menu and enjoyed the... More

£400 is a lot of money for 3 steaks, a couple of starters, 2 desserts and 2 bottles of wine. It says a lot when the pork scratches and the cheese cake are the highlights of a meal. Would not recommend and would not return. Actually think 2 stars for the price is more appropriate.
