Certainly the place to go if you love your meat. The service (apart from the bar) was 1st class. Will definitely be going back again. Great views of St Paul's Cathedral too (the icing on the cake)!

My fiancè and I had high hopes for Barbecoa after looking at their menu and their emphasis on the quality and cooking of their meat. To start with the restaurant was far too cramped and therefore very noisy! The service overall was very slow, we had to wait over an hour between our starter and main course. This would have... Great setting , amazing views of St Paul's at night. Friendly , helpful staff. Acoustically very noisy. Not suitable for quiet , romantic chat. Sorry Jamie but you would not have been happy with the food The airconditioning is strong ( probably because of bbq smoke) all the food was cool . My rump steak was chewy so I sent... More

Barbecoa is a strange restaurant, full of contradiction. It is themed around meat but does not offer much for a meat lover. It is styled around delicious pauper cuisine but gourmet portions force you to pad out the meal with decadent French sides. For a better experience you are better off going to MASH, Hawksmoor or Goodman. The location of... More

Was taken here by a supplier for a Christmas meal. The food was lovely however was probably a little on the pricey side for what you actually got bearing in mind that everything was shared. Would certainly return though as the food was great.

First ever visit in late November and really enjoyed it. It sort of fringes on fine dining and the prices reflect this. The starters were sizeable and tasty as were the steaks. Service was very good throughout and the wind list was extensive. We had a central table with a great view of St Paul's. Very enjoyable.

Try the rib eye for 2 - it was fantastic and one of the best steaks I've ever tasted. Good view of St Paul's and the city lunchtime vibe adds to the atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

Went here this evening for a Christmas party. Drinks ok, food ok, service- excellent. We pre-ordered a £50 per head set menu given the size of our group. I had calamari to start, very nice. Steak main which was overcooked and varied greatly in size in comparison to the others in our group. Dessert was some sort of brownie which... More

Went here the other day for lunch and was looking forward to it. It's in a great location with great views of St Pauls. The service was excellent and a great knowledge of their wines. But and it's a big but, the food was poor. I had Devon crab to start which was pretty unimpressive and sirlon for main. As... More

I have to admit to having been to Barbecoa before and not being overly impressed, however, I was invited by a contractor and decided to give is another go. Things didn’t start well; we turned up 10 minutes before our reservation only to be advised that they were “running late” and that they were not ready for us – and... More
