Amazing steaks and setting

My wife and I visited London for our honeymoon, both of us are fans of Jamie Oliver's, so we tried Barbecoa. The staff were very polite and professional, not as friendly as some restaurants we visited. The view was amazing, St. Paul's cathedral lit up at night, in a word 'wow'. As for the food... read more

Cracking crackling! Way too much meat (in a good way) cooked in all different wonderful ways, a smart interesting set up and great service! Had a wonderful birthday meal with the Mrs. Was beyond full when I left!

We went on a very busy Thursday night- there were literally no free tables and the restaurant is huge! We felt it had a bit of a TGI Fridays atmosphere- which we hadn't expected. But the decor and views are very good. The service was super fast- almost like they wanted the table as soon as we sat down. The... More

Fantastic view from our table, excellent attentive staff and mouth watering food. Great choice of menu and even a set menu for £23 for 2 courses or £26 for 3 courses.

I visited this restaurant with 3 other friends mid week. The views and settings were good. The table I thought was too big for 4 people and I spent most of the evening not being able to hear the person opposite me. Service was average. I found my self having to get out of the way of staff while I... More

This is the second time I went to this place. The first time I had an excellent experience with the food (the smoked ribs) and went back because of this. One year later, the food quality has decreased. Ribs still tender but full of fat, and little meat. The environment and service is nice, but the food not worth the... More

What a fantastic view & food offered at Jamie Oliver's Barbecoa. . . YUM! We had a very pleasant afternoon meal at Barbecoa, would jump to eat there again. First, the atmosphere was amazing with its full windows overlooking St. Paul's Cathedral, that you can see anywhere in the restaurant. Second, they have a wonderful and inventive cocktail list which... More

We went with some visitors to this restaurant for Sunday lunch. I was pleasantly surprised and the food was incredible. Beautiful beef and lamb and large portions of vegetables. I loved every minute. The dessert though wasn't so good.

Beautiful setting we were looking at St Paul's cathedral and the sun set. Food lovely . A little pricy but did taste lovely. Tables a little close to each other . Would go back did enjoy the experience.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
