Took my Girlfriend here last saturday for her birthday, First impressions were great the restaurant itself is based in a side alley in Covent Garden, the same street as The Pineapple Dance Studios. The cloakroom and reception desk are as you open the doors on the same floor as the alley, however the whole restaurant and bar is underground in... More

Ate here on Friday and the food was brilliant. Had an excellent 900g Porterhouse, 2x beef dripping fries, spring greens and asparagus (for 2 people). Followed by the sticky toffee pudding and peanut butter shortbread with salted caramel ice cream. A couple of cocktails later and we were stuffed. Service was good, quick and there's a quirky extensive cocktail list.... More

I had my Sunday lunch at Hawksmoor. I tremendously enjoyed the well-cooked Sea bream with rosemary and olive oil. This dish is simple and perfect. I also loved The English lettuce with herbs, which is beautifully presented, like a flower. This is a great order for ladies. The size and the mixture of herbs are well balanced. I ended my... More

Perhaps it was because we went for the pre-theatre menu but the steak was pretty tough. My son had the rump so maybe this was to be expected but I upgraded to the fillet tail and it was a bit rubbish quite frankly and it was small. They both tasted good but there was a great deal of sawing to... More

The six of us had filets, strips and a chateaubriand. All were beautifully dressed and prepared. Melt in your mouth delicious all around. The sides were all tasty. The wine list offered a nice range of styles and prices.

If you enjoy eating great steak and you enjoy drinking amazing cocktails, this is the place for you. This is one of my regular haunts and I'm never disappointed. The steak is superb, the staff attentive and the drinks a delight. It may not be cheap but it is very good value. You won't be disappointed.

You really feel like your really special going here. Grand entrance being welcomed and all formal. Great bar for pre drinks. (Reasonable prices for London as well) the food is incredible and service on point. This place is heaven. It's almost perfect. The only two faults was drinks took on average 10 minutes to get to your table although when... More

I had dinner here on a Tuesday evening in March. I already knew the restaurant by its good reputation, as I had read the many positive reviews and my friends had highly recommended it. I am in total agreement with the enthusiastic opinions. The food is of excellent quality and the service is very good. The ambience also gets full... More
