Went here for my husband's birthday. Waiter was great, friendly and helpful, suggested things we might like and as we were sharing a scallop starter suggested we add another scallop as it only came with three. Good non steak options and great cocktails. Will definitely be back.

This is my 3rd visit to this fab place! Although, this time it was booked as a surprise for me. I love, love, love this place. The food is fantastic, I had the fillet & as always, it was cooked to perfection. My friend (not a steak lover), chose the beetroot starter & the chicken, which were equally as good.... More

We always eat here when we're in London. Consistently great steak and really friendly service. Usually go before a show so it's not too busy.

These guys know how to do steak. We went for a 1kg sharing steak which was done to perfection. The sides are pretty good too. The decor is quite cool but being downstairs there is no natural light. Nice in the winter but in the summer I'd probably want to be somewhere brighter.

Not much more that I can say that hasn't been said before. Brilliant steaks, great sized portions and an exceptional drinks list. I went for the pre-theatre menu which priced two courses at £26 which was very fair. The mackerel pate started I went for was fresh and served with two brilliantly crisp pieces of toast. The were two small... More

They make no excuses about the limited menue and they don't need to, the food is great but the service is awful. This was my second visit (first in Mayfair) and both times left completely underwhelmed. The front if house, waiters and bar staff were all faevto casual for my liking. If I'm spending that kind of money I wNt... More

I was expected a little bit more. I had the express menu. The steak was okay, but the starter I did not like (mackerel) and the dessert was also a disaster (sherry trifle). The service was very quick, hardly put down the cutlery my plate was gone. Polite waiters, but the dress code for them very casual.

We visited in between Christmas and the New Year, on a trip to Covent Garden. It was very busy and we just about got in, so I recommend booking a day or two in advance. It was an impromptu visit, but I had heard about Hawksmoor from friends and as I knew one was close at hand I thought "why... More

We took a chance on a Friday night and went to reception and asked if there were any tables available for five of us, the very helpful receptionist did her best and called and yes she had a table for us. Our table was excellent, large enough for the five of us and not too crammed in as with so... More
