Two visits on a Saturday lunchtime (attracts young families) and once with friends on a Friday evening. The food is consistently very good but the service is not. Youget multiple servers so getting attention and knowing who is responsible for your service is an issue. Also the servers do not wear any recognisable uniform. Timings are variable - We've had... My husband, 3 of our London friends and I visited Hawksmoor last summer - yep, I'm a little slow writing this:) If you are looking for a big store front kind of entrance, you're looking for the wrong thing. It's very easy to miss, if you don't know what you're looking for. The entrance is on a narrow street and... More

We choose this restaurant at the recommendation of friends who live in London. We were taking our kids to see Matilda and the restaurant could not have been more perfectly located. We were with our three kids, ages 15, 13 and 10 and we all enjoyed our meals. Great atmosphere, not overly crowded as were other restaurants in that area.... More

THE BEST STEAK I EVER DID HAVE! That should say it all really, but on top of that there was succulent lobster, and amazing cocktails, and helpful staff, and great wine and brilliant starters.... As a long time Gaucho lover, and a steak aficionado, I'm whole-heartedly a convert to Hawksmoor and this place is probably now my favourite steak restaurant... More

This is a great steak restaurant in London, no matter what everyone says it beats Goodmans for me every time. The steak is sooooooooo good, and the sides are even better. I loved the fillet I had; juicy, large and just a good slice of cow (sorry to all the Veggies :S). I had it rare, with a side of... More

I've heard a lot of reviews on this restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the rib eye steak, it was really nicely seasoned and it was cooked perfectly pink, however the more I eat it the more dry it is and the burger was nice but I didn't see anything special about it, especially costing... just got in from what was one of the most delicious meals I've ever eaten outside of my nans house ;) glorious cuts of delicious steak accompanied by triple cooked chips (winner) mac and cheese and some perfectly crunchy broccoli to finish it off. the peppercorn sauce was unreal too. our waitress (Naomi) couldn't have been more helpful, attentive but... What more can I say, good steaks, the menu of starters etc is good as well and a good mac and cheese to boot. Have been several times and will be back again soon. Bit pricey but once you've filled up with the amazing cocktail menu, wine and afters then I guess it will be.

Lovely place, nice food but extremely overpriced. The waiter advised us that the sides would be suitable for 2 to share, however I didn't think this was sufficient.

Never disappoints; excellent service, incredible wine and unbelievably good food. The portions are generous and good value for your money. Try the belly ribs and then obviously a glorious steak. I'd eat here every day if I could!
