Welcome to the new generation of Ponti's Italian Kitchen, which has been family-run since 1963. The family originates from Piacenza in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, and they are passionate and committed to the exceptional food of the region. Dishes are simply prepared using the freshest quality ingredients, with a generation's twist on traditional classics. Provenance is a key part of the menu, with several dishes denoted with the DOP logo, the official mark which certifies that the products are genuine speciality products from the region. So, the Parma Ham is from Parma and nowhere else. With two sites in London on Duke Street and John Prince's Street, Ponti's Italian Kitchen appeals to a broad clientele and serves food all day. From a cooked breakfast to afternoon tea and cakes, and late supper through to a great cocktail, the menu remains true to Ponti's Italian roots. Stylish and comfortable, Ponti's has a sixties-inspired interior design, with banquette seating and wooden chairs around tables of all sizes. Red walls are adorned with pictures of Pontis through the generations, alongside a variety of oils, pastas and vinegars for sale. The wood stone pizza oven adds a sense of excitement to the restaurant, further emphasised by the open kitchen. A lively and entertaining space with contemporary music in the background, Ponti's Italian Kitchen conveys all the best attributes of an Italian home - great fresh authentic food, warmth and fun. Ponti's Italian Kitchen is proud to receive the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence award 2012, for consistently achieving outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor. Approximately 10 percent of restaurants listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award that honours hospitality excellence.

Delicious Bomboloni!

We came here ahead of going to a show at the Palladium (which is a few minutes walk away). The staff were welcoming and attentive and the menu offered a good choice of dishes at very good prices. The food was excellent and we would certainly return.

found this little gem, after a business meeting. Service was great, food very good and good wine recommendation by waitress. Will defiantly go here again when in London.

Came across this little restaurant by coincidence and it was a fabulous experience as the service was flawless and food was really tasty, we had difficulties choosing from the menu as everything looked nice but the waiter was very helpful with his amazing recommendations. Will definitely be back and I do very much recommend this place for anyone

Popped in after stumbling across this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered from the 2 course set menu. Service was a bit stumbly but the food was fantastic and great value. My partner is not a foodie but is still raving about the tagliatelle with italian spicy sausage, the garlic bread was proper stone baked and the pancetta and lentil... More

visited on a Thursday evening, the restaurant was pleasant & staff friendly - not very busy. The food was acceptable standard, nothing to rave about, but then again no complaints and was priced accordingly. If there were any complaints to be made it would be that the food was served a bit to quick, but then again that would suit... More

Nicola D was attentive, courteous and professional. Excellent sausage and lentil soup. Textured and rich. The Diavola pizza was excellent.

After walking for 10mins, i decided on ponti's for a bottle of wine and a small lunch with a friend. As I arrived half an hour early, i ordered a drink and waited for my guest. The male waiter who greeted me was very pleasant and welcoming, however he soon left and was replaced by a waitress called Anna P.... More

Visited this restaurant with "the mrs"... wasn't impressed. The staff was very friendly, but seemed to have plenty of time before taking orders. Ordinary cola was sold out "but you can have a Pepsi Max", and the food.... well, let's be fair and just say, that we got, what we paid for, nothing more. Decided to leave without ordering dessert,... More

I enjoyed a full English breakfast here today. The meal comes with your choice of Eggs, Fried Poached, Scrabbled or Boiled. The sausages were real gourmet sausages. It also included Toast and a Coffee or Orange Juice. One of the best breakfast’s I have had in a while. I will definitely be back!!!

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
