Welcome to the new generation of Ponti's Italian Kitchen, which has been family-run since 1963. The family originates from Piacenza in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, and they are passionate and committed to the exceptional food of the region. Dishes are simply prepared using the freshest quality ingredients, with a generation's twist on traditional classics. Provenance is a key part of the menu, with several dishes denoted with the DOP logo, the official mark which certifies that the products are genuine speciality products from the region. So, the Parma Ham is from Parma and nowhere else. With two sites in London on Duke Street and John Prince's Street, Ponti's Italian Kitchen appeals to a broad clientele and serves food all day. From a cooked breakfast to afternoon tea and cakes, and late supper through to a great cocktail, the menu remains true to Ponti's Italian roots. Stylish and comfortable, Ponti's has a sixties-inspired interior design, with banquette seating and wooden chairs around tables of all sizes. Red walls are adorned with pictures of Pontis through the generations, alongside a variety of oils, pastas and vinegars for sale. The wood stone pizza oven adds a sense of excitement to the restaurant, further emphasised by the open kitchen. A lively and entertaining space with contemporary music in the background, Ponti's Italian Kitchen conveys all the best attributes of an Italian home - great fresh authentic food, warmth and fun. Ponti's Italian Kitchen is proud to receive the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence award 2012, for consistently achieving outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor. Approximately 10 percent of restaurants listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award that honours hospitality excellence.

A good breakfast at a fair price for London.

We popped in here for breakfast one morning while in London. We were greeted promptly and given menu's. The menu's seem quite extensive and I'm sure everyone will find something they like. Called in here when out shopping and chose the set lunch menu it was great value. Good choice of starters, I can recommend the stuffed mushroom - great fresh ingredients and really tasty. I went for the pasta arrabiata for my main and I wasn't disappointed, very well seasoned giving a great taste to the sauce. Friendly staff and a... More

A very pleasant ambience, diners can see the pizza oven which gives a warm glow to the rest of the restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and authentic. Really enjoyed our meal.

I found this place near Oxford Circus.... Didn't expect much given I had never heard of it. The food is all extremely fresh and was brilliant to the taste. And despite being near the Tourist Trap Central of Oxford Street, the service was excellent. They change the menus each season and focus on a handful of great dishes and drinks.... More

My husband and I started our date day with breakfast at Ponti's Italian Kitchen. I had a generous bowl of porridge with fresh banana and strawberries and honey on the side, delicious. My husband had bacon and field mushroom on artisan bread, beautifully presented and a real change to a typical cooked breakfast. Staff were very welcoming and efficient and... More

Really enjoyed my evening at Ponti's new Pizza making workshop. Myself and a few work colleagues really enjoyed the experience of making out own pizza, the chef was very helpful and got us ingredients that we wanted that weren't already laid out. - This a great group activity and brings a whole new dimension to dining out with friends. Just off Oxford Street, great location, really friendly welcome and speedy service. We arrived mid afternoon to partake in coffee and cake to see us through until dinner time. We ended up having soup and garlic bread (with mozzarella and possibly the nicest we'd ever tasted) my husband had the minestrone and I had pancetta and leek and both were... More

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
