I have been regularly going to Herman on Charing Cross since its first opening week. The quality of the sausages is superb - simple as. The chips are very tasty, too. It is also relatively cheap for what you get, although you can easily 'blow your budget up' by topping up your order (e.g. add drinks, double your sausage, etc.).... More

My friends and I ate here by pure chance as we needed something quick/tasty to eat before we went to a comedy club. Absolutely we made the correct choice as the sausages were lovely, the curry sauce nice and hot and the service from the staff was fab. Will definitely be calling here again:)

If you need to have dinner or lunch in short time, it is perfect. We had some schnitzel chicken and veg wurst and they were tasteful. Try it.

Stopped by here yesterday with boy wonder for a quick bite. Sadly, we couldn't get a seat so we took our dogs (chiliwurst with onions for me and a plain dog for him) out into the street, meaning that we couldn't relax and enjoy them as much as we'd like to have. Anyway, the dogs were lovely as were the... More

If you like sweat curry sauce and hot sausage this is the place for you. Reasonably priced food, about 6 quid for sausage, curry and chips. The chips can be a little hard but mostly ok. German sausage and German beer with seating downstairs. Other places had 45 minute wait, here straight in and sat down at 7pm. Not sure... More

Went to Herman ze German for the rave reviews and now I don't understand what the fuss is all about. The food is okay but it's quite expensive for what you get...

This is an amazingly tasty place. I don't usually like sausages, but after trying every kind in Herman ze German, I'm in love. Everything is good in this place. The service, the food. There's vegetarian portions, the salads are really nice and the chips are the best I've ever had. The restaurant in Soho has seating downstairs of its full... More

Grabbed a schnitzel and bockwurst here last night . All perfectly cooked and dished up piping hot. Lovely crispy well dressed salad too. Definately worth a try!

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
