An excellent interlude

Would I eat here again? Yes. I spend a fair bit of time in Germany, and as I was peckish, I dropped in. The bratwurst was very good. The chips (pommes frites) were so crunchy that they could shatter your teeth - just the way I like them - and there were plenty. The only downside was the... read more

Imagine a Berlin sausage stand and cross it with a Subway outlet and you've got Herman ze German. In a very popular location, the experience of buying food here is rushed and impersonal bordering on the unhelpful (must be a stressful job though). We had two sausage combos (drink, fries and wurst) for £8.55 each – The Bock and Bratwurst were... More

Brokwurst, chilli wurst, frites. Onion crispies. Sauerkraut. The place does it and does it well. A quirky decor adds to the delight. Great, filling meal.

To be fair I think this could be a rare occurrence reading the other reviews but I visited here on aug 16th and the service was awful. The staff were really rude to us and not at all helpful when asked what they would reccommend. I felt like an inconvenience. I also ordered cheese fries but one of the servers... More

Not just fast food - but, pretty darn good German food. The Bockwurst was excellent, as advertised, and the chicken Schnitzel was excellent, though my son wasn't sharing any. If you like your German sausages, this is a worthwhile stop.

Fab tasty, fast filling food . Very friendly smiling staff .This little gem has the ability to conjure fond memories for soldiers of their time serving their country whist posted in Germany .

I went to this place before going to the Globe for a snack and I believe I have seen quite good reviews about this place. I had a good sized bratwurst with sauerkraut plus ketchup, mustard and crispy onions for just under a fiver. The flavour of the bratwurst was really good compared to those one buys in supermarket which... More

Had seen the place in Soho but first (and only) visit has been at Villuers St. Don't know what all the hype is about - well, it's London -. Good sausages, yes, but way overpriced. Almost £5 for a bratwurst, £1.50 for a cheese topping!!! The staff wasn't very friendly nor helpful, no sense of humour. Lunch break cost me... More

Quirky small place, busy and has tasty food. Ultimate Bratt or Brockwurst, in really lovely roll with toppings and a handful of fries. Can be messy, but tastes lovely. Staff are happy and helpful. Quick snack place, not too expensive.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
