I've been twice to the Old Compton location and love the currywurst. Don't expect Coca-Cola; this is Fritz cola, bottled in Germany. Great price for a little taste of Germany.
So....after hearing so many good things I thought i'd give it a go and tried the one on Villiers St. Started well by getting rude staff with a cocky pr*ck and sarcastic b*tch attitude.....I came here for a different kind of brat thanks. Ordered the meal deal. Asked for hot sauce, but don't remember telling them to put condiments on... More
Visited Herman Ze German on a Saturday after after a long walk around London and was feeling peckish. The staff where very friendly and couldnt be more helpful, had a great Currywurst and fries, you can have about 3 different heat levels of sauce mild, hot, and very hot. I can take hot sauces but went for mild which still... More
We always visit for a late evening snack and it never disappoints. The curry fries are delicious and i love the range of soft drinks. Its nothing fancy and seats are limited but serves great fuss free food. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area

Don't expect haute cuisine - this is fast food, but it is tasty fast food at a very good price (for... More
We had a craving for Schnitzel and Herman ze German was highly rated, thankfully we were not disappointed. Firstly, the girls at the ordering counter are very friendly and welcoming, ensuring that you understand everything you need to know about the various types of German food on offer. They also have German sodas and the girls explained each flavour to... More
This is a fantastic little place conveniently located and especially great after a beer or two. Fries are baked not fried so it must be healthy.
This was a good location for a quick bite and very popular. Whilst we were there several items on the limited menu became sold out, which is testament to the place's popularity. There is a range of sausages and schnitzel, served either with tasty, crisp fries or in a roll. We had currywurst with fries (pommes). Having ordered at the... More
My partner is German but has lived here in London for 11 years, so for him to be able to have a good German sausage here was a treat! The Bockwurst he said 'Was the best I've had in years.' I always go for Bratwurst or Curry Wurst! They have German beer on Tap to really make this a great... More
