Great food

Delicious food (I had the Goat's Cheese Salad), quiet but very nice atmosphere. Staff was nice and attentive. Surprisingly while I was there, another couple ended up sending their food back to the kitchen, and leaving. I don't know what the issue was, but I experienced no such problem. Would... read more

I've eaten in York branch and enjoyed promising that I would sample their main menu next time, originally choose the early evening menu. I was not disappointed by main menu wide choice of starters and mains I had the roast pork tenderloin which was so tender it just melted in the mouth, mm friends ordered steak and they agreed the... I have been to this branch of Cote many times as its local to me and it never disappoints. The staff seem to be really on the ball and I find service to be friendly and helpful but never overbearing. Food is always so tasty, the chicken I had yesterday was so tender. They also do a set menu meaning... More

We live 100m from this restaurant and it's become a family favourite for a convenient and quick meal that avoids shopping and cooking. Friendly staff give a warm welcome and timely service. Reasonable selection of French wines at sensible prices. The 'cidre' is also good. Choice of beers is limited. Tempting starters such as Saucisson Sec, pate, bread, oil, olives,... More

The service was slow but the waiter was well informed. The food was Ok but nothing special. We were there for breakfast.

Great little local, although it's not so little with a huge basement below. Steak Frites at £10.50 is good value and was in front of us faster than Usain Bolt after an especially hot curry. Fish pie was excellent and the creme caramel was quite possibly the best I've ever eaten. £108.84 for four including service. I miss Chez Gerard,... More

We have visited Cote several times, often taking our grandchildren and have always received a warm welcome by the staff. The food is good and tasty and portions are generous. They offer a fairly wide choice and all strive to deliver good, French cuisine. I would also recommend the Breton cider, it's delicious! Definitely worth a visit, in fact I... More

Although it's part of a large chain this restaurant has a very friendly feel for locals as well as tourists. Food is always reliable especially the set menu steak frites) and the service friendly and efficient. Always a good stand-by

Lovely ambience, well-designed interior with fabulous lights. I want some. Despite being busy the service was pretty good, with all the staff being friendly. Fun with a twinkle in the eye, just about covers it. The food is simple, haut cuisine this is not. But if you want french bistro-style cooking for about £45 a head, then you aren't going... More
