Wouldn't Rush Back

When we arrived at 8pm, the restaurant was virtually empty. At this point, the service was very good, and our waiter very attentive, however, towards the end of the evening the service seemed to taper off. Between our group, we ordered some appetisers to share, the fish fingers x3, chicken and... read more

Was really looking forward to the evening and had high expectations for this Mayfair restaurant as we had eaten at The Ivy when Chef Hix was in charge. What a huge disappointment. 10 of us came for dinner, we could only get 8.30pm as apparently busy, on arrival restaurant was not even half full and it stayed that way. We... More

My wife and I stopped by here after a show for drinks. Nice and lengthy cocktail menu with many unique drinks. Cool ambiance and moderate-sized crowd. The bartender was friendly and made excellent drinks; ask him about the sea-horses in the large glass jar. After a Zombie and a couple Manhattans, I was feeling pretty good.

Had lunch today here. The staff were amazingly friendly, lovely ambience and the rib-eye was the best steak I've had in years. So glad I came. Faultless!

We had a lovely meal in Hix Restaurant at Picadilly,a bit on the pricey side. We had hoped there would be a pianist playing but apparently it stops at 4pm on Sunday. Downstairs there is a very nice bar if you want a casual drink. The toilets which serve both areas are spotlessly clean and very well finished.

After a cocktail at the Soho Hotel, we took a short walk to Hix in Brewer Street. Oysters to start with followed by the Porterhouse Steak. Good service, good food and good wine. Everybody enjoyed the food & atmosphere. Then off to Basement Sate for pud.

We arrived to the downstairs bar at 3.30pm on a Friday which was a perfect time: quiet so we got a lovely corner table seat. By 5pm every spare inch was full. Despite being table service we had to order at the bar the majority of the time. One of the rare times we did get table service our order... More

Recently ate here with my Dad and it was thoroughly enjoyed by both of us. It was a quick supper so I went for their take on a shrimp po-boy and he had monkfish tail with a side of veg. Other than a delay on the side dish coming out everything went smoothly and the staff were very friendly.

Overpriced unimaginatime menu with cheap unhealthy ingredients. Snobbish attitude especially with the reception/cloakroom staff. Air conditioning too high. Staff seemed top busy trying to be 'cool' that they just end up being cold pretentious caricatures. This place has had its day, throwback to the early 2000s...

We were staying at the Nadler Soho and the reception staff recommended Hix. Exceptional food and atmosphere!! The scallop crudo starter was amazing and the steak was tender and mouthwatering. The Hix beers were excellent also. Highly recommend and would definitely return for another visit!

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
