I never like being told that my table was from 8 to 10 before I start. Very overpriced wine menu. Food at best average

One would wonder why as the quality is rather poor as is service. Let's not even go the cleanliness standard, restrooms are worse than anything I've seen on a French highway during the summer holidays - disgracefull...

Went on Saturday (19 January) before heading to the theater - there was a slight delay in getting seated, etc because the table ahead of us over-ran but the manager was superb at sorting this out and making it all flow smoothly. Truly top class service. Fantastic food as well! Couldn't have asked for more from them.

Went here for a birthday treat. On arrival, greeted with a booking mistake. While waiting, having asked if we could have a drink we were left in the foyer. Once at our table, we waited sometime for any service. Ordered cocktails were given to the wrong people. The first course took over an hour and a quarter to appear and... More

Perhaps it's the food I ordered or perhaps it's just the over anticipation of eating here. In either case I was hoping for a little more and it just never delivered. We had the private table with its own room at the back, the service was first class and I cannot say a bad word about any of the staff.... More

Went for dinner with a customer, and splashed out on the Porterhouse steak and a good bottle of wine. The steak (1.1 kg!) was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. The prawn cocktail starter was ok but slightly boring; the bearnaise sauce sadly did not live up to my expectations and tasted more like mayonnaise - no acidity... More

Atmosphere is very good and décor interesting. Visited HIX on Saturday 10th Jan and have to say very disappointed. Starter was a prawn cocktail which was ok. For a main I went with the fish fingers and chips with mushy peas. Without doubt one of the worst meals I have ever eaten. The fish was so overcooked and dense is... More

Went here for some drinks with some work friends, I was OK. Quite loud, drinks were slightly expensive, but then again you are in London.

Great venue owned by the celebrated chef Mark Hix who was at the Caprice for many years. Downstairs is Marks Bar which has several Damien Hirst mobiles. Good selection of cocktails and excellent attentive staff. On the ground floor is the modern bistro style dining. The atmosphere is vibrant bordering on a bit noisy, difficult to hold a conversation but... More

We dined at Hix Soho on 30th December as visitors to London and were recommended this restaurant. We wanted a nice restaurant for one meal while travelling for 5 weeks and this really wasn't it! my girlfriend (who dined at tramshed for her birthday and couldn't stop raving about it) had the chicken and it was not much more than...
