Been to Aya twice before for lunch, very nice food and decided to do my birthday bash for about 18 people in the Colliers wood branch....however, was very disappointed with the poor customer service that was received. The biggest shock was when I received a higher bill than it was supposed to be. Instead of 17 guests , I was charged... More

Having been a few times before, I took my friends to this restaurant as the food was cheap and quite good. However, when I asked for tap water for the table, they said 'Sorry the tank's not working, we can't give you any'. When I told them it was illegal not to serve tap water and that tap water usually... More

We wanted to have some Lebanese food on a boring an cold Friday night. We've been welcomed by this lovely restaurant. Portions were HUGE and simply delicious. My husband, Mahyar, loved the grilled chicken (he's very demanding!). I enjoyed falafel, pastries with cheese and fries. We were so full and relaxed by the atmosphere. The staff is very professional but really... More

Took my wife to Aya for a valentines evening meal. I had been there or lunch with business colleagues last year and it was very good. Lots of small dishes that kept coming and coming. But what a disappointment on 14 Feb. The restaurant was packed with the tables jammed up against each other and hardly room to sit comfortably.... More

We came through for lunch and ordered falafel's, fried potato and lamb kofta. The service was slow and we had to remind them about our drinks once our food had arrived. The food arrived quickly (in about ten minutes), but the falafel's were hard, as though they were reheated in the microwave and the potatoes were soggy but looked as... More

We went here with friends who'd been 4-5 times and said it was 'good'. The restaurant was packed, but then Lebanese restaurants are few and far between in SW19. The food is ok - nothing special, and certainly anywhere on Edgware Road beats this place hands down. The bread - probably the cheapest thing to make or buy in -... More

The always packed Aya (which has two branches in the South Wimbledon and Colliers Wood area, along with a new takeaway in town) has a lot of potential. The restaurants themselves are nice and spacious, the food is pretty good (and smells great when you walk by) and there are belly dancing nights. However, both times we went the service... More

I was a bit nervous about Aya having ready such negative reviews. I wouldn't normally go to a restaurant that got such bad reviews but I was going with people who had eaten there before, who liked it and booked it. However, having now eaten there on a busy Saturday night I can't work out how it got such negative... More

I was a massive fan of Aya, so decided to treat my family to a takeaway. They failed to include all the items ordered but still had the cheek to charge us for it. When we realised this and gave them a call, they said that they could not have charged us because they don't sell chicken Shawarma!!! We pointed... More
