My husband and I were in London for our honeymoon this past December. Dinner at The Goring hotel was one of the top items on our list of things to experience, and it exceeded all of our expectations. This beautiful, family-owned hotel is on a lovely street not far from Buckingham Palace. When we arrived, the staff greeted us as... More

Service is key here as well as the food. Greeted at the door and put I the bar although was meeting host in restaurant. Bar has signs saying please turn off phones, put away business papers and relax. Was then offered a newspaper which was nice but seemed incongruous ! Bit of a fuss finding my host - had to... More

I dined here last night with a business associate as it was one of his favorite restaurants in London. The restaurant and hotel are the epitome of British elegance. The menu was very interesting and quite imaginative. The waiter provided first rate descriptions of the food. Everything we ate was beautifully presented and beyond my expectations. The sommelier was very... More

We went to The Goring as a result of an internet deal and what a delight! Te quality of the food and service was exceptional and the 4 glasses of wine between two of us transpired to be a complete bottle of very nice Merlot! The evening was faultless - Very highly recommended.

Dined at the Goring last week and had delicious food. The service was charming and friendly. The Sommelier chose some super wines for us, which were delicious but not the most expensive. We both started with Eggs Drumkilbo which was the Queen Mothers favourite. A wonderfully light seafood cocktail with a jellied tomato consommé on the top. I then had... More

We had a drink in the bar / lounge area before lunch which is very comfortable with attentive service. The interior design is stunning-rich and sumptuous, stunning floral arrangements with excellent attention to detail. Pleasant atmosphere. Then into the dining room. Sophisticated, calm, beautiful. Attentive but not obtrusive service -impeccable. The food was really excellent. Faultless. I disagree with The... More

This had been on our restaurant bucket list since it received a good review in the Guardian some time ago. We went for lunch on a Monday to celebrate the wife's birthday. I arrived early, she was running late so I was shown to our table and given a copy of the Telegraph to read. The quality of the food... More

Decided to give the Goring a visit and meet some friends I hadn't seen for a while. I was taken to the bar area while I waited for my friends to arrive, waiter service was extremely helpful. I enjoyed a really nice gin and tonic. The bar will filled with mainly guests staying at the hotel and possible business associates.... More

My wife and I enjoyed a 50th Wedding Anniversary Dinner here. What a delightful experience it was too. The Goring has been around for a long time and has a very interesting history (do check out the website). Ever since the Royal wedding of William and Kate it is attracting a whole new group of followers and admirers to stay,... More
