We had been here before and really enjoyed our experience. Glad to say the experience was just as good although they have slightly changed the format/price of the menu. The food was delicious and was just enough.c Staff was polite and attentive without it being over the top. Only criticism was that waiter forgot our biscuits with cheese. I was... More

I booked a table for a family celebration. I've dined at the Goring a number of times over the years, but hadn't been back for sometime. The Goring appears to have fallen in to the trap of many a successful business and become the victim of its own success. Post the Middleton press bonanza it has sought to broaden its... More

I came in from Italy and needed a quiet place to talk to my son from university. I also wanted some traditional English food. The Goring fore filled all of these requirements. The service is impeccable , the food is classic British and very good. The staff and menu know where the Iingrediants come from and ate rightly proud of... More

Arrive in the drawing room and receive seamless service with amuse-gueules brought as you contemplate the menu. The new chef has brought innovation, but those who love the lobster omelette (beyond compare) and the eggs drumkilbo will not be disappointed. The Beef Wellington is a patriotic dish in the anniversary of Waterloo and very popular too.

Decided to go for a breakfast meeting and would definitely not return. For £32 per person (not including service) the hotel were being stingy. They only came around once with the bread basket. Only refilled our teas once. Ordered sausages with my omelette and only 1 sausage arrived. Ordered toast but didn't arrive at all. You would think for that... More

I gave a lunch party for friends to celebrate a special occasion, As always the service was superb and the food exceptional. Whenever there is something to celebrate I always choose the Goring. In some good restaurants the staff make the diners feel that they are priviledged to be allowed in, Not so the Goring where the staff take such... More

We decided to book a meal at The Goring for my birthday after seeing the resturant on bookatable.com. We were greated warmly on arrival and taken through to the dining room. The room itself is beautiful had a very relaxed atmosphere. The waiting staff were all both friendly and helpful. Although we had initially booked to take advantage of an... More

If you want to feel like royalty then this is the place to visit. Very attentive waiters and nothing was missed! Pre-dinner drinks in the bar are a must before you go through to dine. They didn't have any Cloudy Bay that evening but a sommelier was sent over to help us select an alternative. The food was impeccably served... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
