Great location, very close to Buckingham Palace. When I first arrived I was the only person in the dining room, but shortly afterwards (at around 7pm) it quickly started filling up and there was a lovely buzz in the dining room. My husband was 15 minutes late so the staff have me a newspaper to keen me entertained, which was... More

The Goring's dining room is very much a reflection of a grand hotel, perhaps the last of its type in London as it remains privately owned by generations of one family. The cooking is of a high standard and the service friendly, knowledgeable and unobtrusive. I am very fond of the lobster omelette and good old roast beef sourced from... More

We had read a few reviews in the press that sent our saliva glands into melt down so booked for lunch. £42 a head but when you look at what you get it is fabulous value for money. A beautiful hotel inside just a stones throw from Victoria station . In we went and straight to the bar for a... More

My wife and I were given a Goring Hotel gift voucher by our son and daughter-in-law and we used it for lunch in the Goring Hotel's dining room on Thursday 26th March. It was a highly enjoyable occasion with great food and wonderful service. We were served by a variety of waiters and sommeliers and, without exception, every one of... More

We had an extremely civilised lunch here. Drinks first in the bar overlooking the garden then into the dining room. This is a very attractive space with lots of light from windows on two sides. The food was very good presented in an imaginative way. The service was exceptional. Definite recommendation - probably for a special occasion as it is not cheap

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
