I have to confess from the very beginning that I LOVE the Goring. It is my go to place for special occasions. If it's ok for the future Queen of United Kingdom to spend the last night of maidenhood, then it's ok with me! We booked a table in the grand dining room and enjoyed a glass of bubbly in... More

i have wanted to go to the Goring for some time and finally managed it last Sunday. My expectations were fulfilled without a doubt. I started with the braised pig cheek which was very good an 18/20 then had the Scottish Halibut with the hazelnut crust again very good 18/20 the fish was superb it just fell apart and the... More

In early December we had lunch at this hotel, my husband had booked it for my birthday. It was a bitterly cold day and we walked from the Victoria station car park by the time we got to the hotel we were both frozen but were slightly late for our booking. We asked if we could possibly have a drink... More

It is December, and busy. So busy, in fact, that we could not get into the bar for a pre-lunch drink. The restaurant was, by contrast, a haven of tranquility, even though it was also full and with its complement of the Great and the Good. The food is cooked and plated to modern international standards, but has a traditional... More

The Goring Hotel is our favorite in London, and the Dining Room is my favorite dining spot in the UK (and perhaps the world). I'd happily endure the 7 hour flight from the US just for the cheese selection. The menu offers the finest in British cookery (and that's ever so much better than some cynics think). Beef Wellington is... More

We have been staying at The Goring for years and have always enjoyed the dining room. However, with the advent of the new chef, it has taken on that extra level of professional polish that makes the evening sing! This time, the staff was just as pleasant and attentive as always, but they exhibited that extra measure of sohisticated service... More

Rabbit and foie gras terrine, roast suckling pig and black pudding from the trolley and English cheese together with pleasant house merlot. Only criticism is that suckling pig skin could have been crisper.

It is difficult to describe the feeling of warmth and welcome that the Goring gives its guests. The staff are impeccable and the food is very, very good. There is only one way to experience the quality and refinement and that is to book a table and try for yourself

The Goring Dining Room is the main restaurant for the highly-recommended Goring Hotel. Dressed in white damask linen with a bevy of highly attentive waiters, the food is at the top tier of London restaurants. Perfect for either a romantic or business occasion, the restaurant maintains a quiet, all-is-right-with-this-occasion ambience both in the surroundings and the many, often unnoticeable, ministrations... The Goring seldom lets you down. It is simply gorgeous and the service is sublime. Unfortunately our party all wanted to try the daily special of Lamb from the trolley but were told it had run out and we would have to order something else. After our main course we were a bit surprised to see other tables tucking into... More
