The chef ruined my salmon teriyaki by cooking all the moisture out of it and leaving it a dry vestige of what it should have been. Its accompanying veg was lamentably stingy - a few more brocolli florets hardly costs the earth. As for my friend's chicken, it was cold and unappealing. I recommend they get a new chef and... More

Set in one of Westminster’s quieter streets, Kaku is a haven of good oriental cooking. We went for mainly Chinese options with Dim Sum, traditional crispy duck and a mixture of favourite dishes and they were all beautifully cooked, delicious and well presented. We went early, so the atmosphere while alive but not shouty, was relaxed and conducive to conversation.... More

Renamed and under new management, there is at last a good restaurant in south Westminster, specializing in Far Eastern Cuisine: Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese. Everything has been smartened up and the whole atmosphere is friendly and professional. The welcome and service were very good, and the food, elegantly prepared and delicious. We began with mouth-watering Dim Sum, followed by... More

Ok but expensive. Nice surroundings and good service. I have eaten in much better for a lot less money but I guess you are in Westminster!

My husband and I came here for an evening meal recently. I'm not sure what other people are talking about but we had a lovely evening, the waitress was very attentive but not pushy, the food was delicious and we received a VIP card for next time which gives up to 30% off for either eating in or takeaway, well... There was a recent name change from Made in China to Bamboo Basket, and maybe this signifed a change of management for the worse, because it was alright the first time I went some months ago. This time a disaster, very embarrassing as I had brought with me colleagues from all over England and abroad. I had booked two tables... More

Made in China seems to have changed it's name to Bamboo Basket. I went there with colleagues and the experience was overall abysmal. The service was appalling. We ordered bbq pork buns for entree and chicken ones came out. I queried them and there was no apology and no offer for the correct dish to be brought out. The mains... More

I LOVE this restaurant. We've eaten here often - lunch, dinner, romantic tête-à-tête, gathering with friends, relaxing Sunday lunch. What I like about it - The food is very good. The ambience is attractive, quiet and relaxing, with soft somewhat Chinese-y music. The tables are well-spaced, so it never feels crowded. The staff is friendly. The location is in the... More
