Small local Japanese restaurant with simply decor but fabulous food...they even serve Sukiyaki! Personally, my favourite is the range of sushi and prawn tempura.

This restaurant needs is perfect. I've been going there for two years now and it is still divine. The sushis are always fresh. They also do hot dishes which are also good. This restaurant needs is under hyped!! AFFORDABLE compared to Nobu etc.. But as good !!!!

udon was tasty with adequate firmness of noodle ( a bit softer than al dente) seaweed salad was good and something different from mundane salads. I will go again anytime when I feels like to have Japanese foods especially udon!

Want a simple Japanese meal, well prepared with great service at a bargain price (at least for SW10)? I've eaten here 4-5 times. For value the luncheon Bento box is great, promptly served by friendly staff - at less that £10 it's hard to beat. It contains a salad, miso soup etc with your choice of main. Choose the tempura... After 3 weeks eating on the continent, I couldńt push myself to try out England's Fish and chips. Therefore, after dragging myself through South Kensington, looking in vain for a Wagamama, I stumbled upon this small Japanese restaurant and was elated to discover that it does serve ramen. And what a ramen it was! It arrived covered in a clay... More

The GOOD: - fantastic bento box deal - £8 per person for a bento box (little salad started, miso starter, sushi, salad side, tempura, orange for desert) - bento deal is available before 8pm. - The sushi is not "exciting" but very fresh and a good sized portion The BAD: - Service can be a bit of a mixed bag... Been several times now, always good food. Albeit a little quiet. The menu is ok, could have more diverse range on the menu, but you get all your standard food. Quiet atmosphere, not very lively. Good desserts though, if you like chestnut and green tea ice cream. Slightly pricey for the size portions. Will return.

I have been to Yumenoki ("Dreams of trees") several times and have tried a variety of dishes. Some of them are unusual and designed for western tastebuds, but the genuine Japanese ones are perfectly prepared and delicious. I especially enjoyed the tofu dishes, gyoza and sushi. Also, they have a variety of donburi at lunchtime, unlike some other Japanese cafes.... More

\charming little Japanese restaurant. Re decor, this place has struck a good balance between Japanese purism and the kind of homely feel westeners tend to prefer. Very good food and lot of Japanese customers which I suppose is a good sign.

Good quality fish but boring selection. Staff is not that friendly and decor is lacking. It is also expensive for what you get.
