Lovely relaxed dinner

My friends and I had our pre-Christmas catch up here. The dinner was delicious (I need your recipe for the dauphinoise potatoes). The wine was very good and service was as relaxed and friendly as we wanted it to be. Will certainly visit again

Good service, rustic setting. The food is average to above average. The cod was my favorite; the steak was average. I did enjoy the cream brulee.

This is the place my girlfriend and I head to when we have friends and family stay with us. The wine selection, relaxed yet attentive and informative service (especially Wilfried) and the fantastic variety in menu options always makes for a good time. The food menu also has a wine recommendation under each dish which you can pick up from... More

A friend and I went to a wine tasting of syrah vs shiraz - it included some really interesting wines and the host told some fantastic back stories about each vineyard. I'd definitely recommend and will be back soon.

Four of us went for a meal and of course the wine tasting. It is a good idea, select your wine and go and get it poured from a machine, no waiting, no servers. the food was a bit hit and miss though, whilst the service was good, taking a complait was matter of fact, we ordered two chateaubrian meals,... Hi Ckypros, Thank you for taking the time to review The Kensington Wine Rooms. I have been looking in to your comments regarding cold plates and steaks which are not hot. The temperature of our food is something we take very seriously and monitor continuously, I sincerely apologise that your steaks didn't meet these standards on this occasion. A Chateaubriand... Went here on a night out. Very nice atmosphere and great service! We had some appetizers and then shared a big steak, which was very tasty. They have a great range of wines by the glass, but also some good ones by the bottle. We had some French red wine, very good. Being a Friday night the place was very... More

Instantly welcoming atmosphere and determinedly international menu, where each dish comes with a suggestion for an appropriate wine. About £65-£90 for two (depending on wine consumption)

My boyfriend and I stumbled across this restaurant and made a reservation. The wine bar and wine shop is at the front and the restaurant at the back. Perfect layout as the restaurant felt intimate and cosy. Great food... very good service.. and a wonderful place for a relaxing dinner. Can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Will visit again.

I can just agree with all the others above who have reviewed the restaurant. Small, but excellent dishes of all kinds and a really great wine selection! We'll be back next time while in London.

Small restaurant with buzzy atmosphere. Great wine selection by glass or bottle also suggested pairings on the menu. Good range of food to suit most tastes. Was really close to tube station. In our party of 6 we all loved our food. Staff were helpful with unrushed good service.
