Since it opened I have been been going to Zucca on a reasonably regular basis and went only last week for an annual dinner. You'll notice I am not a regular to trip advisor and am not really in the habit of wrting restaurant reviews but before my recent visit noticed what I believed to be some harsh comments and... More

This is a nice restaurant in Bermondsey Street. We have had dinner here a couple of times. The staff are attentive but due to the two sittings arrangement you do feel like you are on a stopwatch from the off. Some of the food is very good but a lot is fairly average and expensive.

Average at best, small over priced food menu, extensive over priced wine list. Food was tasty no doubt but small portions and left hungry and disappointed. Finally very welcoming staff but possibly the worst waitress I have experienced in a while.

Great Italian food. Kitchen is in view and service is unmatched. They tend to your water , wine, bread and meal. Never had to pour my own wine. Can't beat it. It was pricey but would go there again.

This was our second trip to Zucca, the first being good. Our food was indifferent. The bread was rather boring, the ox-cheek pasta lacking in taste and somewhat cool, the ice-cream, although flavoursome was presented in a lack lustre way. Having eaten at many restaurants in Italy, Zucca need to improve their act, as they seem to be relying on... More

I am on a mission to find great Italian food in London, so thought I'd give this a try. First impressions were good; nice restaurant, good atmosphere, friendly staff. And the food was good but not outstanding. We had the Zucca fritti (fine, needed salt or a sauce to dip in), squid bruschetta (actually incredible), ox cheek pasta (good, but... More

I went here on Saturday evening with friends for dinner. Almost all the staff are pleasant and knowledgable about the food. To start we had the mussels & the lamb's tongue. Both were very nice and flavoursome. We spoke to the Sommelier about the wine and he gave us a reasonable recommendation but we did get the feeling that he... More

Modern Italian restaurant: White paint, white tables, grey floor, bare concrete and open counter kitchen. My companion and I chose the same dishes. We started with black pudding accompanied by spiced apple, celeriac puree and chopped pancetta. Then we had the small portions of ox cheek ragu with pappardelle, which was excellent. My companion had hand grown camomile tea and... More

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat after an event on Bermondsey Street and remembered a friend sharing that Zucca was one of his favourite spots. We made our way there and asked for a walk in table. They were fully booked, but one of their reservations were 10 minutes late and they said if they... More

All tables were occupied but fortunately we managed to get some space at the bar for lunch in this very popular Italian restaurant. All tables were occupied. This restaurant offers superb food and excellent wines, advised by knowledgeable staff. A bit expensive but you get real quality and excellent service. Trendy furniture and from the bar a view on the... More
