Tasty veal chop, come hither

meal The meal was very tasty and quite filling. You are given bread (free) before hand and I was happy to fill up before my main meal which was the Zucca famous Veal chop. Prior to this I ordered the squid bruschetta which is tasty but small (portion wise). I need big portions and definitely... read more

One of the "Triple Crown" of restaurants on Bermondsey street with Casse Croute and Jose being the other two jewels n the crown. Efficient and welcoming service, good menu choice that regularly changes and delicious, responsible portions. Always packed so book ahead and you won't be disappointed.

It's the second time we've visited Zucca and we're even more impressed! The food is amazing (lots of detail, absolutely tasty and wonderful presentation), super friendly and helpful service, fantastic cocktail, great value... There are so many Italian restaurants all over the city but Zucca is really worth the visit. We're already planning our next trip to Zucca. :-)

This place is heaving - and deservedly so! Got a reservation from the concierge in The Shard where we are staying - the management of the Shard should come take a look at what excellent service looks like. Attentive without being intrusive, friendly without being false and just awesome food. Thanks so much!

We popped in here as walk ins and were pleasantly surprised! Great food, very good service, wine selection is good. Highly recommend the burrata!

The reviews were all very positive so I had high expectations. We chose some wine which was very good although it was one of the cheapest on the menu at £29.00. I had the sea bass main course - 4 small pieces of fish with some sauce and some shavings of ?zuccini. It had no flavour and was slightly undercooked... More

We have waited a long time to try this place - firstly you do need to book in advance and it has a pretty strict 2.5 hour seating turnover and it's rather popular so it needed to be an occasion rather than just "dinner". We took our friend there and the first thing you notice is that it is loud... More

This deserves it's recent award (NRA 2015 best italian), congratulations. The wines are fantastic and well below the typical price in london, the food is always incredibly fresh, always perfectly cooked and often inventive, taking the heart of the tradition and modernising it. Dishes remain simple and focus on the flavour of great ingredients, combined without losing the tone of... More

Our best dinner in London. Table for eight adults. Hostess and waitstaff very attentive and personable. Menu and wine selection was very good. The presentation was terrific and the flavors very memorable. This one is definitely on the list for future visits. Reservations mandatory.

First visit to Zucci, recommended by family , very welcoming staff, service excellent throughout, small menu, but good variety. Ordered several starters to share as recommended, worked well, delicious, great that we could have our starter and then order our main, which was amazing. Don't know how anyone can criticise their experience at this restaurant. Only negative would be the... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
