Had to go back ..... found it hard to believe the standards and value for money on our last visit several months ago. They did it again. We had the Summer Menu 3 course Lunch of the Day, with two glasses of wine selected by the excellent somellier, and a glass each of a rather special 1989 armagnac. Our bill... More

I took my boyfriend to Gauthier Soho to celebrate his birthday. I was looking forward to it as the reviews have been so positive. However, my experience far exceeded my expectations. We opted for the A La Carte menu and the each course was delicious. I had, possibly, the best dessert of my life! Service was attentive and non obstructive... More

We visited Gauthier again recently in a group of 9 and, having given excellent reviews in the past, and having recommended the restaurant to the host of this latest event, I was somewhat disappointed. Some of the things which impressed me so much in the past didn't happen - no amuse bouche before the main, no palette cleanser between the... More

The restaurant occupies 3 floors of a small period town house in the heart of Soho. The staff were mostly French and were professionals. The A La Carte gives a choice of 3 in each of the 5 menu sections. If you have all 5 courses its £60 per head. Although the portion size of each dish is small and... More

We came here for my wife's 40th and encountered decent food at incredible cost. We had a four course a la carte menu and shared the dessert, which was £60 -70 per head. Wine, recommended by the sommelier, water and service took this to £340 for two. By far and away the most expensive meal of my life. The food... More

I visited Gauthier with my boyfriend and his parents to celebrate his mum's birthday. We all had a fantastic evening; the food was superb and the service outstanding. The waiter overheard us talking about the fact that we were celebrating a birthday, didn't say anything at the time but then appeared at the end of the meal with a beautiful... More

I'll keep this one short and sweet - Quite simply this is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. I use to live in NYC, my wife and I travel quite a bit from Shanghai to Sydney and tried to hit up as many Michelin starred establishments as we can (around 20 on 3 different continents at last count... We read about this restaurant in a Lonely Planet book about London. It said they had perhaps the best lunch deal in London, and we were not disappointed. We booked a table to 1pm and ordered the three-course lunch deal with a class of champagne and two additional glasses of wine. For this we paid 45 pounds, including service charge.... More

I returned to Gauthier's last night for the second time. As before everything about the Dining experience was exceptional .From the moment you knock on the door and enter the restaurant the fantastic experience starts. We were invited to this place by our french friend. There were no sign of the restaurant - no menu near the door, no name of the place, nothing at all. It was kind of sense of secret and we felt excited. And we got more than we expected! It was a flat before, nothing has been rebuilt and sizes... More
