Delicious food server by excellent staff

I ate at Gauthier with my wife on the same night as the Pride celebrations were taking place in Soho. It was an oasis of calm amongst the fantastic bedlam of the after parade street party outside. We had lunch here and chose to have the special set menu with wines chosen by the Sommelier. The room was beautiful with lovely starched white linen table cloths and napkins. It was simply and elegantly furnished - large tables, beautiful flowers and comfortable chairs. The service was helpful and unobtrusive and each course was timed perfectly. The menu offered... More

Seriously, if you haven't been to this place you need to make it your next outing. They do the most fantastically priced tasting menu and matching wines I've ever had. It's not cheap but this is Michelin starred food and service. It's very strange as it's never on any of the 'trendy' lists or awards but it's SOOOO good. If... More

Like being on the set of Ratatouille, an amazing experience but we wouldn't repeat it. Very pricey. Lovely place, not your typical restaurant at all.

We had an exceptional night at Gauthier. Food and service were both excellent. The ground floor dining room is quite small and intimate. Although potentially a stiff and formal dining experience, the atmosphere is saved by the professionalism of the staff who coped perfectly both with one member of our party being spectacularly late and a beetroot tartlet crumbling en... Gautier serves some of the best food I have ever eaten. Having read some revues, my wide and I decided the best thing to do was to try it out and we were certainly not disappointed. Situated in an old London town house, you ring the bell to get in ( an unusual but lovely touch) to be warmly welcomed... More

Had the pleasure of getting a table. Astonishing service and impeccable food. The atmosphere is very cozy and we really enjoy all the dishes from start to finish, one of the best dining experience we had. I would thoroughly recommend Gautier to anyone. FYI: Ce fut vraiment un repas mémorable, mon copain et sa famille étaient ravi. Le service, la... More

What a lovely experience.....we booked a table for two and got the private wine room which was so intimate and cosy. We went for the set menu with wine pairings, the sommelier and all the waiters were very knowledgeable and polite. The food was very well presented, perfect portions of deliciousness! Would definitely recommend and return.

I have visited Gauthier on many occasions and I have eaten some of the best food in London. The combination of wonderful cooking, first rate service and refined atmosphere make this a real dining experience. Even better, all of this is delivered for a very reasonable price. I will definitely return very soon.

Very pleasant & relaxing surroundings, it felt like an oasis of calm in the middle of London. Service was just as you would expect efficient & professional. The food was very well prepared and presented but unfortunately lacked the wow aspect for me. The only exception to this was the lamb course which was outstanding. The flavours in most of... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
