Beautiful lunch in Soho!

It's hard to find the words to express how good this restaurant really is and what fantastic value the 3-course "Luxe" menu is! I first tried Gauthier in 2013 and as I live in Glasgow, this summer was the first time I had the opportunity to go again - believe me if it wasn't for the geography I... read more

This is the first restaurant we have been to where we had to ring the doorbell to get inside! In fact, other than the menu discreetly attached to the railings outside, you would be unlikely to realize that this town-house in a quiet Soho side street is, in fact, a restaurant. But once inside, you realize that it is indeed... More

Having previously visited with my wife, I decided to treat my middle aged son to the delights of Gauthier Soho after a day at the Lords Test Match. An excellent choice, which we both enjoyed to the extreme. The Menu offers Three Courses for £40.00, Four Courses for £50.00 and Five Courses for £60.00 with a very good selection for... More

Very nice lunch in the heart of Soho. Small but elegant room, relaxed service from predominantly French staff. Ate from the a la carte menu - portions are small, so I recommend the 5 course option. Highlights were the thin tomato ravioli with lobster and clam, the beef fillet with mushrooms and the Louis XV "posh Kit Kat" chocolate desert

We visited last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was exquisite, great ambience and the staff were attentive without being overbearing, will definitely return. Delightful find!

I was invited to my cousins 21st and was in a private room. We had a set menu and I was not disappointed by the food nor the service. Overall, good food.

This restaurant is a hidden gem, small restaurant and very cossy with a great and personal service, very sober. The food is the best you can get outside of France.

Arriving and stepping in to Gauthier is dream from the hustle and bustle of the city. The elegant dining is beautiful, the attentive but unobtrusive service is excellent, luncheon was unrushed and relaxed. Each course was inventive and plated with style and flavours to suit. An intensive wine list. This was a birthday celebration and staff at Gauthier made it... More

This is a posh restaurant - you have to ring a bell to get in off the pavement and the décor is beige and subdued. Service is impeccable if a little cool - no friendly banter here. Having said that, the staff were very knowledgeable. The menu was excellent - we did four courses for £50 and the truffle tortellini... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
