Wonderful Saturday evening at the Summerhouse. I called during the day to book and the data base means that the guy who answered could call me by name. I like that for for some reason. A lot. We were welcomed warmly and offered a choice of two tables which I would not expect, but was lovely. The service was perfect,... More

What was supposed to be the signature dish, fish pie was tasteless and at £18 hugely expensive. There was hardly any fish in the pie !. The creme brûlée was tiny and therefore not value for money. Basically this is a below average fish restaurant - I know a dozen fish restaurants in Glasgow that serve better food and are... More

This is a great little place for lunch/dinner in the summer months. The atmosphere here was very relaxed on a sunday afternoon and the menu fresh, simple and food is good quality. The waiters are very helpful in explaining the dishes and attentive in keeping drinks etc topped up. Will definitely revisit.

A fantastic location along Regent's Canal in Little Venice, Maid Vale. This trendy restaurant is situated on the towpath of the canal and diners get a charming view of passing boats and barges and regular visitations from families of ducks, geese and coots who have learned that humans mean "tit bits". The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is very... More

Today we discovered a new part of London, Little Venice. Technically it's in Westminster but that's a minor point. It's a delightful little spot along a canal (what else) near the Warwick Avenue station on the Bakerloo metro line. After strolling along the canal, checking out the quintessentially English narrow boats, we stopped for lunch at the Summerhouse restaurant. It... More

A fantastic spot for a relaxed sunny Sunday lunch spoiled by poor food and inflated prices. This is the kind of food you might expect from a large pub chain trying to tap into the gastro market. Lacking any imagination and all at West End restaurant prices. The waiting staff were pleasant and friendly and the wine list decent but... More

Worth a visit if in the area given its fanastic location on the canal, but dont expect fantastic food or service, which can be very patchy.

I would highly recommend this lovely little restaurant. We went there today for a mid week girly catch up and we had a lovely evening and great food. It is slightly more expensive however it was worth it :)
