A fantastic location along Regent's Canal in Little Venice, Maid Vale. This trendy restaurant is situated on the towpath of the canal and diners get a charming view of passing boats and barges and regular visitations from families of ducks, geese and coots who have learned that humans mean "tit bits". The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is very... More

Today we discovered a new part of London, Little Venice. Technically it's in Westminster but that's a minor point. It's a delightful little spot along a canal (what else) near the Warwick Avenue station on the Bakerloo metro line. After strolling along the canal, checking out the quintessentially English narrow boats, we stopped for lunch at the Summerhouse restaurant. It... More

A fantastic spot for a relaxed sunny Sunday lunch spoiled by poor food and inflated prices. This is the kind of food you might expect from a large pub chain trying to tap into the gastro market. Lacking any imagination and all at West End restaurant prices. The waiting staff were pleasant and friendly and the wine list decent but... More

Worth a visit if in the area given its fanastic location on the canal, but dont expect fantastic food or service, which can be very patchy.

I would highly recommend this lovely little restaurant. We went there today for a mid week girly catch up and we had a lovely evening and great food. It is slightly more expensive however it was worth it :)

Obvoiusly its not all bad but first time the fish and chip well the fish was like mush. Second time both the soup... More

Was taken to the summerhouse as a birthday treat by some friends. I had not heard of it and was amazed. It is small, quirky, with good service and the most amazing yummy food and fantastic views. The menu is not extensive but good. I had fish and chips with mushy peas which sounds an everyday meal, however this was... More

Despite the food being at times average, if you are looking for a nice outdoor view with a good atmosphere and friendly staff I would recommend this place for a relaxed lunch by the canal during the good weather

This restaurant has the potential to be one of London's coolest restaurants, it has every ingredient needed with its stunning location, vibrant atmosphere and boat house concept but sadly it doesn't deliver on any level. Four of us went for dinner with the view of booking for a very large group later in the year, needless to say by the... More
