An elegant City destination, Londons famed Proud Cabaret nightspot and restaurant is modelled on a 1920s speakeasy, exuding all the glamour of a decadent bygone era. Designed by Russell Sage Studios and Danielle Proud, the venue, located just moments from Fenchurch Street, is darkly impressive, not only in its setting but in its notoriously titillating and extravagant programme of entertainment. A constantly changing list of events ensures guests enjoy something new and exciting every visit, from the best music played by top DJs to beautiful burlesque performances, live jazz sounds and clever cabaret, all by well known and breaking acts. Special event parties, one off's and series alike, provides an extra surprise and, of course, whenever you visit youll be treated to not just captivating cocktails and mouthwatering moonshine but superbly executed British dishes enjoyed retro Hollywood supperclub style and an informal bar menu featuring lighter offerings. After dining the Proud Cabaret party continues long in to the evening.

Excellent food and show, Worth the Groupon, but be careful hidden charges

I had booked for a group of 6 of us, mixed couples on Saturday night for 6.30pm. The venue is impressive, nicely decorated although our table was not in a great position and although I was fine, some of my party complained that the chairs were not comfortable. Such a fun amazing night, took my bestie for her birthday. Food was yummy, prices was reasonable. Entertainment was great, the dancers were beautiful to the watch and the host was hilarious. The night ended with us on stage dancing to rocky horror

If you're looking for a guaranteed entertaining night out, then look no further! I came for my birthday with a group of girls and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. A couple of cons: If you are coming with a group of more than six, you'll most likely be split into two booths, which was an absolute nightmare as I had... More

Visited Proud Cabaret in the City for the second time about a year since the last visit. Atmosphere - you cannot fault the atmosphere of the place it is and awesome venue. Although they need to work out the air conditioning as it was a tad hot again. On the food - it was ok. Really good mackerel starter, ok... More

We went for a girls' 50th birthday and it was an excellent way to celebrate. The food was great, the staff lovely and the atmosphere fun (although perhaps a bit too much dry ice!). The star of the show was the MC, who camped his way through some classics made risque by his rewriting of the lyrics in an intelligently... More

Show was excellent and the food but the best part of our night was our waiter Dennis. He was a great waiter; a great man, excellent manner all rounder.

Great evening for my hen do with the girls. Our waiter Dennis was excellent, and the hula hoop aerial dancer was incredible!

Great night, went for a hen do, very funny but not for the easily offended. Dennis was a great waiter with a lovely manner.

Went to Proud London City on 2nd May for my close friends birthday, there was four of us in total. It was all a suprise for her. We stayed in a lovely hotel then this was our event for the weekend. Two course meal and the show. We paid directly with Proud instead of going with groupon as the spaces... More

Had a terrible night celebrating a friends birthday. Paid £75 for a 3 course meal that was stone cold, extra £5 for steak, extra £5 for veg, extra £5 for potatoes. Bill came and they'd added an extra £8 for two programmes of the show that we didn't even want, extra £2.50 per bread basket (which were on table at... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
