Pleasant surprise

Haven't been before and used the taste card to get a great discount. Superb pizzas and wonderful churros dessert. Excellent service and friendly people. Recommend

Came for my birthday in May 2015. Staff were friendly, service was ok, decor was a little dated. They had a guy playing guitar in the corner which was a nice bonus. I had the lasagna, but I found it overpoweringly salty which was disappointing as it masked any other flavours. Probably won't go again.

By far the best authentic spanish food I've eaten in a good while - really stands up against competitors across the Greenwich area. The menu was varied, authentic & very reasonably priced. The staff were extremely friendly & despite a wait for the bill we were kept busy with free after-dinner Spanish liquor on the house which was a really... More

This restaurant was recommended by my wife's hairdresser as a great mediteranean restaurant. We were not impressed !! We were the only 2people in the restaurant . Ordered a starter of their version of prawn pil pil , this is normally served sizzling from being cooked in its serving dish but this was Luke warm.Pasta dish was average . Best... More

Just visited The Hill for the first time. Will definitely return. Lovely atmosphere, excellent food and service. The guitarist added the finishing touch.

We come here regularly simply because the food is excellent, especially the Pizza which rivals anything we had in Italy! Even on weekdays the place is busy but not crowded. Given that the Hill is a little bit of a walk from central Greenwich it has to be good. Beats chains like Pizza Express any day!

My wife and I visited The Hill on a quiet lunchtime. In fact, we were the only diners present for the duration of our stay. So is the place that bad? Certainly not - if our food was typical. The restaurant has an eclectic, charismatic feel, with a mishmash of mismatched, (but reasonably comfortable), furniture and large, impressive modern artworks... More

We are down from Yorkshire for the London Marathon and have just returned from a lovely meal at The Hill. The menu is an eclectic mix of Spanish,Italian and South American dishes. We particularly enjoyed the cerviche ,streak and paella. The only downside came when one of our party, who must eat gluten free ,was assured that her seafood pasta would... More

We got back late and missed a dinner party and found this gem right across the street from where we are staying. Service was earnest but still needs polishing. We ordered the Paella, crawfish salad and the grilled octupus. All were very good. They also had a diverse selection of wines from Spain, France, Argentina and Chile.

Staying in Greenwich

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
