We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant hidden away In the back streets of Greenwich. Although they might disagree it seems to be mix of Spanish and Argentinian. The empanadas were good and the steak wasn't bad all wash down with a Malbec from Mendoza. The service was good and the atmosphere quiet pleasant. There was live music - a... More

We we're going to the comedy festival in Greenwich. I found this place on trip advisor, and we were not disappointed. Amazing food, which seemed like homemade...forgot to ask that! It's a little pricey, but we were in London after all! :) Nice beer on tap, and we were able to sit outside peacefully. We both had three courses from... More

Ate here last night. £15.50 for a breaded chicken breast, piece of lemon, a tomato and a child's handful of lettuce leaves. I had the lasagne, we heard the microwave 'Ping' and it turned up hotter than the sun and flavourless. Think it was a ready meal that had been tipped out into a bowl. The food was dire, there... I met with the manager and his team, fantastic restaurant, may I add awards galore with TripAdvisor.com, and a great history behind the paintings and art work in the restaurant- actually Andres father is a famous Ecuadoran painter! A hint of South America mixed with Mediterranean cuisine... just unique and BESPOKE... I urge tourists to have a look-see, not far... More

This is an excellent restaurant off the beaten track in Greenwich, on Royal Hill, the road on which the big clock tower is situated. There is good ambience, staff are friendly, and best of all they offer those little extras such as olives, for free, giving you the feel of being in southern Europe rather than south east London. I... More

For Greenwich probably a pleasant change. It's a nice enough place and concept but execution lacking. The menu is curiously unbalanced. There is a heavy Latin American influence (Ecuador and Argentina) with a few Spanish choices and then a lot of pasta and pizza. So you have a fairly limited choice of dishes alongside a lot of Italian. We ended... More

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the Hill. It feels lovely and comfortable inside with a sweet outdoor space for the warmer weather but get in quick as it's not a large area. This place is great to come as a couple, family, friends or solo and caters for all. The menu is varied and of good... More

We visited this restaurant for the first time tonight. It had a good write up on the Good Food Guide website. We started with a Pisco Sour from the cocktail menu. Lovely! For starters we had the Ceviche. A very generous portion served in the traditional fashion with popcorn. Steak main course was beautifully cooked with pepper sauce. We ordered... More

In the busiest parts of Greenwich there is terrible food being sold because they don't have to try. But, just walk a little further to 89 Royal Hill and you will find a gem. A pleasure to spend one's money there. The Hill served us extremely good food with very friendly service. It has a calm, relaxed atmosphere with no... More

I have been to The Hill around five times and I reckon they should cook more mediterranean food, specialy when there is a signboard up to the principal door where you can read " MEDITERRANEAN RESTAURANT". Last time I went to The Hill I found a number of dishes which are far from mediterranean like Ceviche (sudamerican), Argentinian meats, Beef... More

Thank you for your feedback. Our website makes it clear that we are a Mediterranean restaurant with a “distinctly Latin American Twist” owing to our Ecuadorean heritage. With regards to the way in which we serve our food (e.g. including green beans) we attempt to cater for as broad a palette as possible and as we are in a British... More
